So do a couple of early mocks I've seen on Bleacher report. My guess is someone falls in love with his measureables at the combine in Indy and he goes top 5. Would you be satisfied with Julio Jones if he has similiar 40 times? You already know he has a similiar build.

Yup. Just want a play-maker. Trouble is, I guess, WR's are known to be the poor high draft choices. Ahh, well. At least with the rookie cap coming, we won't pay an arm and a leg for whoever it is.

From a fun standpoint, MoMass + AJ = Two Bulldogs for the DawgPound. Woof woof woof!!

OK, I'm officially over last season. Heck with it. Just going to enjoy the Bucks tonight and the NFL playoffs. I feel confident with Holmgren. The guy is just smart, calm, experienced, and a true football man. I doubt he messes this thing up, even if he picks that Morningweg-ama-jig guy.

to be honest, I dont know what it is about Green, but I just dont like him. He looks..... breakable.... occasionally those early 1st elite WR prospects bust, Calvin was a bullseye, Dez (even though a later 1st pick, still the top prospect) bullseye.... Crabtree however.... has been so so, Braylon... we know that story, All of the lions picks besides CJ, the whole 2001 1st round.....

We have deep WR draft this year.... VERY deep... there might be 5-6 first rounders, or 3-4 depending on need. AJ green for some reason feels vanilla to me....

I much rather have this monster on D

Our OLB's would be pretty elite then... Quinn, Benard, Fujita, Roth....

Theres a few potential round 2 WR prospects that I see having AJ Green type impact on the right team, our team

I think a lot depends on who the coach is and what defensive system he will be running. Many of the guys that have ties to Holmgren are 4-3 guys. Which would mean that this team would be in dire need of defensive linemen, DEs especially.

Green over Jones any day for me. Green is a stretch the, field type of receiver, a true #1 guy that would scare other teams and I think Jones ultimately ends up a #2 guy in the NFL. We already have those.

No thx to Julio.

I love the guy, and I'm sure he'll be great for somebody. But he's the same exact player as Braylon Edwards.

He's the same build, same route runner, same pass catcher. He drops the easy ones, and makes the tough catches, and has a bit of an ego.

I love Julio. I think he's great. But I don't want Braylon Edwards back on this team. A.J. Green, or wait for a guy in the 2nd round/3rd round.

Id MUCH rther have Justin Blackmon over Julio.

Agree anthony...I'd prefer blackmon over maybe even green. Too many good wr's to take one in the first IMO...If we get aj green fine...I like Y-town's suggestion tho...Quinn then get his running mate Sturdivant in second...Accept it boys and girls...kiss the 3-4 goodbye. We will have a WCO and 4-3 defense IMO... put rubin and rogers in middle and quinn off the edge.

I agree...sorta.

Id hold off on WR till the 2nd but im not so sure Quinn can play the DE in a 4-3.

Enter Da'Quan Bowers.

Its very possible Cinci goes with AJ Green. If so, then Da'quan should be there for us and he is PERFECT for the 4-3 end position. 6'4 275.

I like Blackmon a lot. Problem is, in more of a horizontal scheme, he'd be misused. I question his ability to run routes in the middle of the field, and make plays in the short field. He's a down field receiver, and he needs a young QB with a bigger arm like Sam Bradford.

He will not be there when we pick. Guaranteed.
