| That's what Romeo Crennel's coaching did to what ever talent was available to him. I'm telling you in about 3 more years It will be clear who was the bigger problem in the Savage and Crennel years.

Another example of a great job coaching up a player that never did much of anything and was a huge disappointment. Coached him up, and got more for him than he was worth imo. I'll take him back if the price is right for some depth. (I'm assuming we'll be upgrading the LB corp. this offseason again)

Meh, no sense crying over spilled milk. The guy has a good game. Doesn't mean he's all of a sudden a drastically improved player.

Good God, KAM IS A DE people. He isn't a OLB. How many freaking times does it have to be mentioned. Kam was a turd as a OLB. Nothing more, nothing less. If the Browns move back to the 4-3, only then does he become interesting. Last edited by MackTruck; 01-05-2011 at 05:48 PM. |

He had 46 Tackles, 12 Assists, and 9 sacks with a FF. Not bad, but certainly not going to break the bank if he were still here. We got Colt McCoy with his pick, so while I am still pissed that yet another 1st rounder is not on this team, I do think we got value in return that we would not have had he stayed. Marcus Benard had 7.5 sacks with almost 1/2 the playing time. |

When Savage came here here thinking the first things he needed to do were sign Gary Baxter to absurd $, make Trent Doofus the face of the franchise and prioritize a contract extension/raise to Andra Davis - I should have noticed how many crimson flags were popping up. Instead, I was too busy enjoying every promise I needed to heard from Savage. His very first press conference was he was here to build through the draft because that's what successful teams do. Plus, he said he was very strong at drafting people - which was exactly what i needed to hear. Then he signs the same Jason Fisk that ran out of gas 2 seasons before his biggest NFL contract. He signed 4 different dlinemen from 4-3 schemes to play 2 gap football upfront. If that wasn't enough - he traded away the entire day 1 of the 2008 draft and netting us 1 keeper from the 5 guys drafted on day 2. Not only, guess how many draft picks he left us for 2009? Just 4 folks.

Damn though, two busted knees at the same time? LeCharles Bentley was a great signing? First practice..... Savage had some hard luck. Not sure he was dumb, just bad luck. |
