He and Daboll can share cab fare to the airport.

Shit..... I really didn't want this to happen. I liked Rob a lot.

Hardly surprising. His name has been touted as a possible HC candidate and though I'm skeptical he'll be signed as a HC anywhere. I can't see him sticking around. He was a colorful personality but not my favorite coach. We'll see who the rest of Holmgren's hand picked staff will be soon enough.

Richardson gives us a HB with abilities the Browns have not seen in decades!
The message is clear, we want to score more than 13.6 PPG this year.

WOOF WOOF WOOF!

His brother stayed in Baltimore after getting passed over for the HC gig.

Rex did get an interview in Balt, but it was even more of a perceived slight for Harbaugh to get the gig. Rex actually had a strong case for getting the HC job -- Rob didn't.

His defense typically ranks 25th or below in rushing, and his defense did the same here. Plus his defense ranks high in 3rd DN conversions, TOP, and total D.

Yeah I want someone better, but I'm not keeping mediocre coaches for the sake of continuity or because they're fun to listen to.

Harbaugh was a MUCH bigger name than Rex, and yes, to me getting that interview is a big deal. It's a courtesy thing. By not giving him that interview, your showing him you don't really care. Hence he's not gonna be invested in sticking around.

That's a fair point, though I'm not sure Rob's unhappiness was the deal-breaker here. Maybe Jauron's just more appealing to Shurmur & co.
