Default WHAT ARE YOUR PREDICTIONS FOR 2011

I am curious to know what people think in regards to our record next season. Many of you and the media got your wish, we fired another coach and hired a fresh face.

Given that many of you got your wish, I would like to know what you think our record will next year and how many wins you expect out of this. We've been told by many that the Browns should have won more games this year and 5-11 is 5-11, so I would expect 8 wins to be a minimum for all you optimists out there.

My early prediction is 7-9.

I'd have to see our schedule first, but I'll go out on a limb with a highball estimate and say...... 4-12.

I'll need to know who our DC is going to be before I make any real predicitons. But I agree that 7-9 is a likely starting point.

Maybe waiting until we have a staff together under Shurmur and see who we draft and what FAs we sign would make for a better guess.

How could you even have a clue without knowing anything about what kind of team we will field and what the coaching staff looks like.

Based on your 2011 projections, how do you think we will do in 2012?

4 to 7 maximum wins next year.
In fairness had Mangini stayed I was expecting 9-7 minimum so if you boot the current coach and bring in a new guy a losing record is almost assured first year but to what level?
I have no desire to blow this whole thing out of proportion and start a pissing contest over the Browns coaches but the new guy gets a year and we will probably finish next year at 5-11,how's that for irony?

Nope, none of that matters. The bottom line is we keep hearing the Browns under EM didn't win enough games this year, so a coaching change was needed in order to improve. Needless to say, anybody wanting EM and staff out of here would have to agree on at least 8-8 I would think----and that is with a way easier schedule and hopefully less injuries, factored in with a steady QB and more players added.

unless this draft is a complete bust and we fail to aquire zero talent through FA's then the team should assume 8-8 and work up from there. That includes injuries and strength of sch.

And, regardless of who's coaching.

Yep...minimum 8-8. I expected more with Mangini next year, and new players.

Agreed!

And to be a pain in the ass, I would say Holmgren is quite capable of that. I suspect he will be doing quite a bit more "coaching" this coming season.

The schedule doesn't look too harsh basing it on how teams did this year, but that doesn't mean much just look how the Chiefs and Bucs came outta nowhere this season.

Home: Cincy Baltimore Pissburgh Jacksonville Tennessee Miami Seattle and St Louis

Away: Cincy Baltimore Pissburgh Indy Houston Arizona San Fran and Oakland

I could see us going 7-9 or 8-8. Maybe better than that seeing only 5 match ups will be against opponents with winning records from this season (Ratbirds x2 Steelers x2 and Indy)

Guys...

We got rid of Brian Daboll. Weren't you here all season? Didn't you read how he was such an idiot and holding this talented team back? Oh and the "idiot" Mangini... those were the two main problems.

I'm thinking 15-1 or 16-0 with a guarenteed Superbowl apperance. We've always had the talent, just needed better coaching.

/end sarcasm

Put me down for 7-9.

12-4

AFC Championship

McCoy is a Pro Bowl alternate, throws for 3,500 yards with 23 TD's against only 13 INT's.

We have another solid draft and see three rookies start or play serious minutes just as we did this year.

Some shrewd FA management improves the overall talent base as well.

Basically, this is what I predict every season. I'm a homer. I just can't ever get myself to say, "They're going to lose more than they win and not make the playoffs." Glass is 2% full for me this time of year.

0-0. Lockout. NFL loses enormous money from no broadcasts; entire league disbands.
