Here's another look at Titus Young:

To be fair, the chilly weather made it more difficult than usual to bring in the ball: the normally sure-handed Austin Pettis also had a couple drops. But the clip gives you a sense of the benefits and drawbacks in drafting a guy like Young: super-explosiveness but not the greatest hands and less highpoint ability because of his lack of size.

Colt's vertical throws often are jump balls, so the last limitation could become an issue. But he's an intriguing prospect who could provide some desperately needed speed.

I know I'm a broken record, but we're in desperate need of our clear-cut best WR, a #1, a guy who rotates coverage and keeps safeties back. A guy who will help everything in the offense work better and give Colt McCoy his best chance to succeed.

In my mind, the candidates for that position are Vincent Jackson, Sidney Rice, A.J. Green, and Julio Jones. That's it. Titus Young is a speed guy and that's nice... for a team with Fitzgerald or Bowe, in need of a field stretcher on the other side. Austin Pettis is nice for a team with speed looking for a sure-handed third down chain mover. Neither is a #1 WR.

Of the second-tier guys, Leonard Hankerson is the one that looks like the next possible #1 after Green and Jones. Jon Baldwin... honestly, I don't know enough about him, but he's consistently available in round 2 at 6'5" and 235, so I assume there's something missing there.

But Hankerson may have risen into the 24-32 range according to several national football writers. So my gut says if we don't get a big f/a WR... and I doubt we will... then you really can't pass on Green and Jones. I don't see it.
