Everybody is entitled to their opinion, but I gotta tip my cap to shep, he's come back and taken his lumps on things he missed on. It's an obvious sign of a guy who has the ability to eat some humble pie, and I have more appreciation when that happens on the internet cause it's so easy to try and sweep shit under the rug and act like it never happened.

and by all means, bust his chops, we're guys, that's what we do, but I hope you guys know when to pull back on the throttle.

One of my biggest misses was Robert Gallery, I really thought that guy was gonna be a beast of a LT, and even though he's redeemed himself somewhat by moving to guard, he's still not at the level I thought he would be.

Despite his off the field problems I really thought Lawrence Phillips was going to get his shit together and blow the doors off the NFL. Woops....

I don't have a ton of guys, cause usually I only fall in love with one or two guys per year, and 9 times out of 10 I hit on them, but it's easier to hit when you only pick 2.

Heh. Thanks, Spec. Our draft busts/hits probably need to wait at least a few years. I could celebrate too early on Dez, mourn too quickly on Clausen, etc.

That's cause Hiway falls for draft picks based on how cool sounding their name happens to be.

You know, names like Troy Pollawallamahoo (fun to say), or Peyton (cute sounding) or a nickname like "All Day". (cough, sorry about that last one Hiway. )

Looking like my latest whiff: Christian Ponder, having a tragic Senior Bowl week.

Now if we want to start generating some serious lists we could do a thread on Browns draft picks that you thought were gonna be good and didn't, but that list is tainted by some severe homerism.

I'll share just one, and probably one of the more notables. In Charlie Frye's rookie year we played Baltimore to end the season and I was able to go to that game. Charlie led us back from a 10 pt deficit I believe for the win, and there were plays I was like "holy shit" and I really thought Frye had "it", boy was I wrong on that one.
