I don't often dissagree with Alo but because of our system I wouldn't trade up for Suh, but I would love to have him. The only two people I would trade up for are Bradford and Berry and I wouldn't trade up above #5 because of the cost. I'd give our 3rd and another later round pick but I wouldn't give up #38.

The team priorities are too many to go all in on one player. Besides I think our starting QB for 2010 is already playing in the NFL, just not with the Browns..............yet. Holmgren I believe goes for a QB at the end of round 3 or the top of round 4 so that leaves only Berry for me and I'm not Butch Davis and willing to give up a #2 to move up a spot.

I'd rather trade down because there will be real value in the form of impact players for us through #12.

So you think they're going to draft a mid round QB, AND get one in free agency to be the starter?

You're nuts.

We'll probably draft a mid rounder, dump DA, pick up older vet, start Quinn.

I hate to keep saying it, but Kolb is not available so there are no long-term solutions in free agency. It's the draft or Quinn, period. So the candidates to start in 2010 are Bradford, Clausen, and Quinn. The end.

Anyone else we draft will be "developmental," and I doubt we'd get rid of Quinn. I could see Quinn, Pennington backing up and mentoring, and Mike Kafka. It's a bit of a delay tactice and Quinn's last stand all at once.

Default Dybbuk aspirations?

With a draft as talent-rich as this one, that'd be quite a big bounty to give up.

I've made it clear that I think Berry's a better prospect than Earl Thomas, especially when it comes to run support. But what if you could add to Thomas a 3-4 end like Corey Wootton at #38 - wouldn't both our pass and run D end up being better?

It's a tough call, especially when Berry seems to be such an ideal Mangini type. But I wasn't for trading up to get Aaron Curry last year, and I'm not sure I'd give up a heavy ransom to get Berry this year.

That said, I'd trade my soul for Suh in a Browns uniform.
Wouldn't that turn you into a dybbuk?

Would you inhabit Al Davis? Or is he already taken? Hard to tell...

Anyway, I agree I wouldn't give up #38. Too many good options.

But I'd give up one of our thirds this year and next year's 2nd, though. I'd bet on some improvement to drop that 2 next year and get what I could this year.

Holy cripes. Defense with picks 7 AND 38? For a team with our offense?

Yikes. That's nuts.
