We won't be sitting pat with the worst WR corps in the NFL as we try to get Colt McCoy and the WCO up and running. Not a chance. I won't bet testicles on the specifics, but we'll be very, very busy.
Even Sobo, who would be happy with DL in 1 and 2, said in his recent chat that the Browns will address WR with a serious sense of urgency through free agency and the draft. It's vital on a ton of levels.
Keep in mind that New England had an elite WR in Randy Moss for a while and they just drafted TWO of the top TEs in the last draft. They also jumped on Wes Welker at a cost of... what? A second round pick? They make sure he has weapons. It's generally believed that New England needs an upgrade at WR and they'll be looking early in the draft, too. Heck, I think Tate was round 2, right?
I sincerely doubt anybody is seeing WR as a "luxury" in today's NFL. Not sure I've ever heard it put that way, in fact.
