Rotoworld on Justin Houston:

Georgia DE/LB Justin Houston ran unofficial forty times of 4.63 and 4.64 at the NFL Combine Monday. Whether Houston will be able to transition from end to 3-4 outside linebacker is a topic of hot debate, but at 6-foot-3 and 270 pounds his forty times are sensational. We'd be very surprised if he got out of the middle of the first round. Houston led Georgia in sacks and tackles for loss last season. Feb. 28 - 1:28 pm et

Houston has a very good first step. Needs to improve his hand play and expand his repertoire of rush moves. May be maxed out physically, which could be an issue if he doesn't improve as a run defender.

He isn't as effective a pass rusher with his hand up, so 4-3 DE is a much better fit than 3-4 OLB.

I have a sense that's why he showed up at 270 instead of 255. Very productive player, great 40, great size, great strength. Seeing a lot of him in the middle of round one now.

Alo, do you think Heckert would take a flier on a guy like Dontay Moch in the 3rd or 4th? This guy seems to have Pierre-Paul athleticism, albeit undersized and extremely raw. As a Junior rumors are he ran a 4.19 (lol), 4.08 (lol), and 4.2 during spring drills.

Moch ran a 4.44 today at 245 lbs. I think he's a better fit as a 3-4 OLB: his instincts aren't great, so he's better off getting after the QB.

I bet he'll go in the 2nd round. Lots of draftniks think he's just a workout warrior, but I think he's a pretty good football player.

Weight room strength. I'm not sure it translates on the field.

Two guys that look the part: Martez Wilson and Von Miller. Interesting how Mayock keeps comparing Miller to DeMarcus Ware. Maybe he could be worked into an edge pass rusher too

Miller gets Ware comparisons because they're both 3-4 OLBs. Miller could play 4-3 OLB... but it wouldn't really utilize his edge rushing ability enough.
