Without a doubt! He was overly nice guy, not capable of being mean which maybe hampered him a liitle on the football field. I was a little suprised to see his name on the Brown's draft board and even more suprised he hung around for about 3 years.

I always liked him. Think he was from Kansas and brought some pass rushing ability. I thought he had potential to be something and he seemed to have the natural talent. Perhaps he was nothing more than a special teamer cuz he lacked the fire. Whether or not that has to do with being gay I don't know, but it is interesting.

How does bringing Vernon in have anything to do with him being from OSU? The guy was the sixth pick of the draft and is young and miscast. It has nothing to do with OSU. He wasn't even close to being one of my favorite players there.

Got news folks, we need front seven personnel and especially front four.

IF we could score Gholston on the cheap, what he deserves, I don't see the harm on trying him on a one year contract for one or two mill. I mean, doubt he would want that but who knows. I like a lot of the arguments for or against singing him but Riffer hit the nail on the head, we need front 7 guys, give the guy a chance to prove himself and if those knocks against him (lack of effort, etc) reign true then at least he'll have a spot on the bench for depth purposes. I mean... we need the players. I'm not looking at this as a "OMG! Sign the man!!!" kind of approach. It's like... why not take a test drive, sign him to a practice roster spot if we can, kind of deal.

As for Tommie Harris, isn't he getting up there in years? It's an interesting name for sure. Someone who could start for us beside Rubin, but we've been burned by veteran DT's in the past...

We had a pretty good draft, and I'd like to start seeing some results.
Fans already looking to next year and I don't blame them.
I think we will have things to be excited about that we lacked last year and we have some real facepalm moments just like last year.
It's going to be tough.
We aren't Barking Hard for nothing.

He's only 28 so we might be able to squeeze a couple more good years out of him.

His numbers did see a steep drop in 2010. 1.5 sacks and only like 13 tackles. Those aren't the numbers you want to see from a starting DT. He dropped from 8 sacks in 2007 to 5 in 2008, to 2.5 in 09 so there's been a sharp and steady decline there in his numbers. Maybe a change in scenery could motivate him to a higher level of play but who knows.

He missed almost all of last season. He's "vowed" to be a playah again this year, so we'll see. He'll come at a discount.

Yeah I've read that he still feels confident in his ability to play. I'd give him a chance over a guy like Gholston. Ultimately that decision isn't up to me.

Looks like Barnett and Chillar might both be out in Green Bay. Either make sense?

EDIT: BTW, neither is old (Barnett turns 30 in a few months, Chillar is 28) and both are smaller, quicker types who probably don't fit the 3-4 all that well, both around 236-ish. Barnett has the wrist injury but you would think that's well now. Pack is set inside with Hawk and Bishop.
