Default "WHERE'S THE BEEF"

Where is everybody at these days? We need more people posting and not just reading. Let's hear your opinions, the draft is not that far off.

I think these CBA doldrums have really affected fandom across the league, but this is a Browns fan specialty, discuss how to get better in the off season. I still think there are some that enjoy that even more than the regular season.

Let's hear your thoughts on anything.

As an international Cleveland Brown fan I have no comments or opinion on players like Julio Jones, Al Green and co. But I wish they sort out the lockout problem. I am more a football person than an American football person. I love the games, but don't eat or sleep breathe American Football due to not living in USA.

This time of the year is usually more exciting with FA and trades but this year that part of it is ruined due to the CBA, we can only talk so much about these prospects until were just throwing shit like monkeys.

Personally im antsy, I jus want the draft to be here

Going back to the shitty QB controversies along with the coaching changes and philosophies and all the baggage that goes with being a fan of this dysfunctional franchise and all the infighting that hasn't stopped since the move and there is bound to be a lull or atleast in my case a well deserved break.
As soon as we have a draft and a training camp I will be back to mix it up with everyone but for now I would rather be absent than involved in poo flinging.
Theres always the chat!

I pretty much agree with Danamal.

I'm as pessimistic as I've ever been about the Browns, so I just try to keep it to myself so as not to ruin anyone's delusions.

A combo of last years off season here + another axed coach + an entirely different defensive & offensive philosophy ....again + plus a crappy boys club coaching hire + the CBA = disillusioned Browns fan.

Draft fever hasn't hit me yet, which is unheard of for this time of year. I'm sure it will eventually ....I hope.

maybe we,the fans of pro football,(not just browns fans but all football fans) should start spreading the word that we are going to strike the season if they don't get this figured out real soon. let them know we will not buy tickets, jerseys or any other nfl related items if it's not settled soon. we can spread the word on facebook, twitter,& the other sports sites to let them know we've had enough of their bickering. if they can't decide how to split 9 billion dollars then lets not give them 9 billion dollars to split! hit 'em where it hurts,in their wallets! if we pull together we can get it done so start spreading the word & tell other people to spread it too. Together we can do it!!

Long time lurker of tbb and then made the jump over here when this site started so I'm not really one for posting, but this^ post is exactly how I feel right now. The end of the season and then the firings and coaching hires have really turned me off of the browns. Its something I cant explain. I am usually as excited as ever no matter what coaches we bring in but something is just different this time.

I'm usually a huge draft nut, reading up and watching videos, and searching for alo's posts on different players. This year though? I haven't watched any coverage or read up on any of the prospects. I completely forgot about the draft until I noticed the user mock draft had already started and was halfway through the first round.

You would have though this would have happened to me with the cavs after that situation but that only made my love for them stronger and I haven't missed a game yet this season.

Once the draft and/or training camp starts I think I'll be back in the swing of things but for now Holmgren and the new guys are going to have to win me over again.

I've never felt this way about the browns before and I'm not sure I like it.

You want my thoughts? I'm sick of draft talk, I want the draft to HAPPEN. We need to get that over with and I think that will open a lot more doors of conversation, IMO. I want us to IMPROVE the team, we've got holes on both sides of the ball and i we draft a Cornerback, a WR, an O-Lineman or a goddamn Punter, I don't give a shit who we take anymore I just want the team to improve.

CBA... that pisses me off in general. The fact that the lockout is looming, the union broke up, all that non-sense it just doesn't feel like it's worth it to me, the average fan. They're arguing over dollar figures that I can only dream about so that they can play a goddamn GAME. It's disgusting to be honest.

I think we need to become an overall consistant team, this draft is a great opportunity to take a step in that direction. I think it could take, even another whole year of growing together especially with the new system before we will see some TRUE progress which is why I am scared for next season but overall.

I'm not exactly in the pessimism avoidance boat but I am in the 'frustrated' boat and getting to a point where I am more-or-less censoring myself for fear I may say something that would be considered un-modly...

We had a pretty good draft, and I'd like to start seeing some results.
Fans already looking to next year and I don't blame them.
I think we will have things to be excited about that we lacked last year and we have some real facepalm moments just like last year.
It's going to be tough.
We aren't Barking Hard for nothing.

I think this forum needs a section to discuss and savor the championship won by the Cleveland Force.

Those were the days.

I don't have to tell you things are bad. Everybody knows things are bad. It's a depression. Everybody's out of work or scared of losing their job. The dollar buys a nickel's worth; banks are going bust; shopkeepers keep a gun under the counter; punks are running wild in the street, and there's nobody anywhere who seems to know what to do, and there's no end to it.

We know the air is unfit to breathe and our food is unfit to eat. And we sit watching our TVs while some local newscaster tells us that today we had fifteen homicides and sixty-three violent crimes, as if that's the way it's supposed to be!
We all know things are bad -- worse than bad -- they're crazy.

It's like everything everywhere is going crazy, so we don't go out any more. We sit in the house, and slowly the world we're living in is getting smaller, and all we say is, "Please, at least leave us alone in our living rooms. Let me have my toaster and my TV and my steel-belted radials, and I won't say anything. Just leave us alone."

Well, I'm not going to leave you alone.

I want you to get mad!

I don't want you to protest. I don't want you to riot. I don't want you to write to your Congressman, because I wouldn't know what to tell you to write. I don't know what to do about the depression and the inflation and the Russians and the crime in the street.

All I know is that first, you've got to get mad.

You've gotta say, "I'm a human being, goddammit! My life has value!"

So, I want you to get up now. I want all of you to get up out of your chairs. I want you to get up right now and go to the window, open it, and stick your head out and yell,

"I'm as mad as hell,
and I'm not going to take this anymore!!"
