Default Julio Who????????????????????

How much did Cleveland love Julio Jones?

There men all along were Dareus, Peterson and Green. With those three gone, you know.

Maybe they weren't blowing smoke when they said they liked their WRs and maybe WR wasn't as great a need for them as we thought it was.

Someone get oxygen for Shep

I like the stockpiling of picks, but I don't see Atlanta's star falling this year. So, we picked up a late first round pick next year plus a late second round pick this year and the 2 fourths.

Net-net here is we gave up a shot at top 10 talent for 3 shots at late first to late second round talent this year and next.

With Heckert this is probably a really good move. On one hand I'm bummed about not using the pick but on the other I didn't see anyone in the "can't miss" category for us TO pick.

arizona takes Peterson..they already have a top 15 pick at CB in rogers-cromatie...No one does that.. Who puts all there money at CB like that.. unheard of.

I am not crazy about trading down so far. We did pick up 4 picks which is good..

It shows what Heckert thinks of the talent on our roster too. It seems to show Heckert believes we are a couple drafts away from competing in our division by getting to picks next year too. It also shows that Green and Peterson musth have been top guys on the board..with them gone.. no point in hanging around when you can reap 4 picks.. Let's hope he makes some solid moves with them.

Heckert will do some trading back into the 2nd or 3rd round IMO.

27 is a long way from 7, but 2 firsts next season is good capital if they want to make a run on a player ---- like Luck?

If the players you want are gone then you get out of there. We got good value for the pick. Now they just have to make them count.

There's value in every round. Why pay top ten money if you don't like the choices left when it's your turn. There is still great value left on the boards. There's 6 or 8 first round talents and we pick 5th. Plus another 2nd rounder. It also gives us power to do anything next year with two first rounders and a rookie salary cap in place.

Besides, there will be FA when this is all said and done. Young, hard nosed grunts are hard to find in FA. Skilled players will be there.

Y, great points. I like riding your coat-tails.

I am mostly b.s.ing here because I truly know nothing but I am happy to know my instincts were affirmed by H&H today and Y said it best: if your guys aren't there, get out.

Realistically, there was no one to take at 6 worth taking for OUR football team. The pro-WR camp (shep and Bronx mostly, I think) will tell us that we needed "a home run hitter" but seriously, what the hell does that even mean on a team with LITERALLY no defensive linemen? I mean, we still HAVE to field one of those outdated defensive lines, right?

In all seriousness, the truth is (as I've said before) top 10 WRs are hood ornaments, or to use the modern version, fancy spinners. They only really look GOOD on a nice vehicle.

Who likes fancy spinners on their 10-year old clunker? That's what Bray-Bray was and that's all JJ would have been.

Green MAY have been different but it's unlikely. At this point, I'm much happier with the beef up front. Large, angry men rarely go out of style in the NFL.

My greatest fear was that we would reach on someone like Julio who had potential but also had some big risks (BRAYLON....) and we traded down, we got some future insurance and bonus picks for this year, we then got the guy we wanted at another position of need as well.

I will be surprised if we do not take a WR in the second round.

We had a pretty good draft, and I'd like to start seeing some results.
Fans already looking to next year and I don't blame them.
I think we will have things to be excited about that we lacked last year and we have some real facepalm moments just like last year.
It's going to be tough.
We aren't Barking Hard for nothing.
