Great new thread... because I think there's a solid chance we'll have free agency next week.

1. LB, maybe 2
2. RT
3. Noel Devine (and let him rest... I know, a UDFA)
4. Slot WR. Lance Moore, UDFA Sanzebacher?

Whoa, the kid from WVU? Could be the scat back Riff was talking about. Though I wonder if he can pick up a blitz and play special teams......wait, wrong coaching staff. LOL.

7. Auburn running back Mario Fannin.
Fannin was a career backup for the Tigers, but seemed flier worthy because of his ridiculous size-speed combo. At 5-foot-10, 231, Fannin blazed the Combine track with a 4.38 forty. He also displayed plenty of passing-game value for the defending BCS Champs, setting Auburn school records for receptions and receiving yards by a running back.

Good call Veg, this Fannin kid is big, fast, and catches the ball well kind of like another RB we have on the roster.

I can't help but think about another RB that would be perfect in this offense -- Jerome Harrison.

Hard to tell which NFL players will be UFAs and which will be RFA, so just looking at some guys not tagged with 6 years that should definately be FAs.

I really like Justin Babin, DE from the Titans. Right size and right attitude. DE Collen Jenkins from GB. MLB Barrett Ruud from Tampa. OT Jammal Brown from Washington. Of course the prize has to be Asomagha. Mark Clayton will be a UFA as will Derrick Ward. Neither would be expensive. Don't know if Clayton would be an upgrade or not. Ward would make a nice 3rd RB behind Hillis and Hardesty. Don't know about his hands or blocking ability though.

The one guy who seems to be a legit UFA, no matter which rules they adopt, is Babin and he could be an excellent fit.

I think that Pat Devlin would be a nice UDFA to bring in. He might be a real good fit as a practice squad, developmental guy in the WCO.

My entire list of free agent WR's still seems like a priority to me. McCoy needs some veteran experience. With the lockout there may be no OTA's, no Mini Camps, and a shortened training camps. Rookie WR's will be pretty worthless. Besides, We still need to improve at WR even with our draft picks.. Still #1 priority in my book.
After that. LB's, secondary players, more DL players, and there are 1 or 2 possible RT's that are young enough to invest in.

Most of the good WR FAs are RFA or were tendered or tagged. I don't see many that are UFAs with 6 years. I agree on bringing in a veteran WR but I just can't tell who would be available.

Rice, James Jones, Steve Smith, Breaston and Floyd may all be RFAs. Vincent Jackson was Tagged.
