I thought he was going to be a huge steal, too... I mean, HUGE. I hyped him tons. He was picked up by the 'Skins... was placed on the active roster after an injury to their backup RB last year, but saw no carries.

He actually did have one good game with 40 rushing yards and 40 receiving yards.

Me too! For a short period of time, KJ was a really reliable player on this team. The thing people forget about KJ was that he made a position change to WR as a soph at SU and was drafted after his junior season. Plenty of upside to get coached up. If you look at his numbers below, I think you'll see the ONLY season he wasn't reliable was the 2nd year when he tried playing through a hamstring injury all season.

Anyway, I hated Northcutt as a WR - never seen a bigger pussy. Quincy Morgan couldn't catch anything while Andre Davis just couldn't stay healthy for 2 straight weeks. If someone came in and gave us an equivalent production to what KJ gave us in 99 and 01, we'd be feeling pretty good about the WR position. I think the numbers below show us KJ was the best 2nd round draft pick we've made on offense here in the last 12 years:

Holy snappin arsens! I don't think there's a better way to illustrate why so many head coaching careers are resting in peace today. Since 1999, I've been reading fire the coach/coordinator as if the GM's making Fool's Gold above weren't the bigger issue.

THIS is why your buddy Flugel is excited to have Heckert's established competance here ADDING picks in lieu of putting all our marbles into 1 guy like a Winslow or Edwards that can land on IR pretty easily as we learned.

Butchie's 2003 draft wasn't actually that bad aside from Chaun Thompson in the 2nd RD. Faine (TB), Crocker (CIN), Pontbriand (CLE), and Garay (SD) are all still in the NFL. This must of have been the draft he half-heartedly listened to Ron Wolf because his other drafts were horrible.
