Mostly it's about driving in traffic. However, it's also due to the fact that most draftniks don't know shit about the 2012 guys (myself included). As folks begin to study the '12 prospects, their opinions inevitably will change, which will be reflected in tweaks they make to their mocks.

At this point, just putting together preliminary rankings would be the smart move, but those wouldn't get a lot of hits...hence the mocks.
