| Cleveland Browns have second 'minicamp' today at Baldwin-Wallace College, source says Published: Tuesday, May 10, 2011, 2:07 PM Updated: Tuesday, May 10, 2011, 3:05 PM By Mary Kay Cabot, The Plain Dealer ![]() Quarterback Colt McCoy and other Browns players are at Baldwin-Wallace this week for the second players-only minicamp. CLEVELAND -- Browns players are beginning their second player-organized "minicamp'' today at Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, a league source told The Plain Dealer. The first one, organized by quarterback Colt McCoy, was last month at the University of Texas, McCoy's alma mater. The camps are designed to prepare the players for the season despite the NFL lockout. McCoy told The Plain Dealer last week that a second camp was coming soon, but that he wanted to keep the date and location quiet. The first one lasted about three days. About a dozen offensive players attended "Camp Colt'' in Austin, and McCoy said he focused mainly on teaching the players the fundamentals of the Browns new West Coast offense. He received a playbook from the Browns several months ago and is well-versed in the new scheme. The initial camp included receivers Brian Robiskie, Mohamed Massaquoi, Josh Cribbs, Jordan Norwood, running back Peyton Hillis and tight end Evan Moore. McCoy said he contacted the Browns draft picks and invited them to the second camp. He said they were expected to attend, including receiver Greg Little and tight end Jordan Cameron. He said fullback Owen Marecic might not be able to come because he's still in classes at Stanford. The first session included workouts, meetings, position drills and passing situations. The players also bonded in other ways, dining together and visiting a ranch. The current camp, which is a players-only session, will probably also last about three days. Mohamed Massaquoi tweeted Monday that he was back in town, but didn't mention the camp. Cleveland Browns have second 'minicamp' today at Baldwin-Wallace College, source says | cleveland.com

I dont know if its safe for him to go... hes not even signed yet... what if he gets injured? what are the rules here considering these circumstances? Is Little a brown right now? or is he in limbo due to no contract? Im sure his agent recommended that he not show up.

I remember Braylon getting stepped on by Stallworth in one of these "non contact" portions.. you can get hurt anytime, turn an ankle, tweek a knee. I think it really depends upon Littles insurance. He may have a Lloyds policy, he may not. The agent may have put a policy on him..Most do. But if he does not make it, it's not the end of the world.

If he doesn't attend he slips farther back in the receiver rotation when and if camp does start. The people who know the playbook, assignments, routes and hot reads will play while the others catch up. Notice that Stuckey hasn't been at either mini-camp. He's a FA and I don't think he plans on coming back. Not that it would bother me in the least, just sayin...................... |

| Jake Delhomme joins Colt McCoy at Cleveland Browns players-only workout Published: Wednesday, May 11, 2011, 6:58 PM Updated: Wednesday, May 11, 2011, 7:00 PM By Mary Kay Cabot, The Plain Dealer ![]() Jake Delhomme joined Colt McCoy in helping the Browns' offensive skill players get some work in learning the new West Coast offense on Wednesday at Baldwin-Wallace. BEREA, Ohio -- Quarterback Jake Delhomme and rookie tight end Jordan Cameron were among the new faces at the Browns' second player-organized minicamp being held this week at Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea. Rookie receiver Greg Little was invited but was unable to attend. Rookie fullback Owen Marecic was also believed to still be in classes at Stanford and unable to participate. Many of the other players in attendance also were on hand for the first installment of "Camp Colt," as Josh Cribbs dubbed it. That session was held last month at the University of Texas, McCoy's alma mater. Working out on the field at Finnie Stadium in T-shirts and shorts on Wednesday were McCoy, receivers Brian Robiskie, Mohamed Massaquoi and Carlton Mitchell and tight ends Evan Moore and Ben Watson. McCoy said recently that Moore and Watson will be great mentors for Cameron, who played only full season at the position at USC. McCoy and Delhomme threw passes to the receivers, and the players also did position drills. Inside, they worked out in the weight room, had meetings and watched film. McCoy has had a playbook for several months and said after the first camp that the primary goal is to get the players acclimated to the new West Coast offense. It's uncertain if the Browns will conduct a camp at Kent State, something Golden Flashes alum Cribbs was hoping for. KSU director of football operations Casey Wolf said Wednesday that the school is fully prepared to host if and when the Browns players choose to train there. So far, McCoy has chosen to keep the camp low-key and has declined interview requests. FB Owen Marecic was in classes at Stanford & Greg Little, well...he was in Oregon posting funny tweets.

| Browns players practice at Baldwin-Wallace College amid NFL lockout By Nate Ulrich Beacon Journal sports writer POSTED: 06:10 p.m. EDT, May 11, 2011 Despite the NFL's lockout, some Browns players have been engaging in football activities this week in Berea. But they haven't been at the Browns' headquarters. They have been just around the corner at Baldwin-Wallace College. Browns quarterback Colt McCoy and some of his teammates met at Baldwin-Wallace on Tuesday and gathered again Wednesday to study film, said a source with knowledge of the situation. Wide receiver Greg Little, whom the Browns recently drafted in the second round (59th overall pick), was among those in attendance, the source said. Last month, McCoy and several of his teammates, including wide receivers Joshua Cribbs, Mohamed Massaquoi, Brian Robiskie, Carlton Mitchell, Jordan Norwood and running back Peyton Hillis, worked out together and bonded in Austin, Texas. McCoy organized the meeting, so his teammates dubbed it ''Camp Colt.'' If the lockout is still in effect for the next week or so, ''Camp Colt'' could be held at Kent State University. Cribbs has been in contact with his alma mater about the possibility of using its facilities in mid-May. LINK: http://www.barkinghard.com/forums/cl...l-lockout.html END OF ARTICLE ---------------------------------------- Well, the PD says LITTLE could NOT attend and the Beacon Journal says he was there....WHICH WAS IT?? I tend to believe the PD because of the tweets I read from Little. SEE ARTICLE JUST ABOVE THIS ONE, TO SEE THE PD VERSION.
