Cleveland Browns
This is another team with a healthy number of bronze busts in Canton, Ohio. Some musts from that list: Newsome (yes, he's in two cities), Jim Brown, Paul Brown, Otto Graham, Paul Warfield, Lou Groza and Bill Willis.

Just a side story:

We interviewed firms a couple of weeks ago for some upcoming projects. The VP of one of the firms that didn't win is a great guy and we have talked on and off for awhile so when he asked for a debrief, I said okay.

We talked about stupid stuff and then somehow we got on the topic of Cleveland. Turns out he's from Boardman. (And here's where it gets good!!!) His younger brother was a classmate of Bernie's at high school! Bernie used to come over to their house to play basketball with them (VP guy says proudly that he beat him a couple of times lol). I laughed because I can't imagine Bernie having the grace to play BB.

Anyway, he says when Bernie came back to the area after college, he wasn't into all the fame and fortune stuff. He got a place and basically lived there alone...then called the younger brother and asked him to be a room-mate.

VP guy says they used to sit around and watch football games together and stuff. I told him I was jealous!

Anyway, at the end of the conversation I said something about "so obviously you're a Browns fan, right?" He said "Nah...I'm a Steelers fan."



I said, well, now you know why you didn't get the contract!!! LOLOL
