Saw this wasn't an insider story and figured it would be a great conversation starter. Three OBR guys picked the top 10 Browns MVPs... but it's kinda more like Most Important Player. Like the X-factor, the guys upon which the season sort of pivots. I agree that Greg Little is HUGE. Against some easily stated odds, he really needs to get it fast and be the #1 WR he's physically capable of being. Like Alo and Sobo have said, there's no doubt he's the most physically talented Browns WR right now, today... and that has to translate into a steal. I'll hold off until you all read... | Yeah, it's not even close. If Colt is good, the Browns are good and vice versa. Simple as that.

I doubt we'll hear many excuses for McCoy. He has Holmgren, Shurmur, Haskell, and Joe Thomas (lack of blindside blocking being a popular out). He has the Madden cover boy in his backfield. He has a brass that repeatedly states that he has absolutely incredible wide receivers with talent unmatched throughout the history of the NFL, supported by message boards everywhere (!). He has not one, not two, but three talented check-down tight ends and backs that can catch. This is not Tim Couch and a bunch of castoffs. This is a pretty decent cockpit with the current God of the WCO right there in the building. No third round pick since Joe Montana has stepped into a better position than McCoy is looking at right now. He's doing everything right (as is Alex Smith), taking a leadership role and winning the respect of his teammates. Now he needs to play. I'm feeling kinda vibey good about it. |

Regardless of what people thought about Timmy Todd, most should admit he was a pretty good dude. Anyway, he recalled going against real teams after practicing with the expansion Browns. He said it blew him away, cuz then he actually see the difference in talent that he didn't know before. Good shit......

I took a semi-brief break from the board as well -- it hasn't been fun trying to sift through all the WR stuff. If we're talking about important dudes in '11, Jabaal Sheard should be a big part of the convo. Taylor has pass rush potential, but Sheard's the guy we need to get after the quarterback right away. If not, opposing QBs will be able to sit in the pocket for epochs. |
