Cribbs might be 4 years behind on learning WR because he was a QB, but he's also been learning the WR position for 6 years in the pros. It didn't take Hines Ward that long (another college QB turn WR in the pros). Cribbs is never going to be anything more than a #3 or #4 (the likely) WR for any team. His route running really has not improved that much (a streak down the sideline is not an example of any real route running) and he still reads the D wrong in the passing game. Cribbs also is not actually paid that much (about 1M per year) unless he reaches a bunch of incentives. CLE also signed him to that new contract before the new rule on where the KO happens

Good point, M. I can't imagine how things would'v gone if 2010 had been Cribbs' contract year. Very different story. Things played out well for him, getting his money before the rules changed, he played dinged, and another season passed without him making an impact on offense. I hope that's a good thing for both parties... but we'll see. I do believe the Browns will sign a veteran WR and it seems like the brass is pushing Little to be a prominent player from the opener on. Then there's Mo, Robo, and Mitchell. I see Cribbs as a specialty player lining up all over the place in certain sets... but the same is true of Evan Moore and Jordan Cameron. |

Little's latest: Rollin' with my dawg owen marecic in case somebody act up on this plane Awesome. And to whomever made the comparison to Kellen Winslow first, congratulations. That's very accurate imo. Let's keep Greg away from the crotch rockets, shall we? If Kellen spewed 110% cock-sure out of his mouth, then he was giving 150% on the field. Raw emotion, polished talent. That's exactly what I see when I look at Greg Little's college highlight reels. Lets hope it translates to the NFL. I think it will. As most probably remember, me and a poster who is no longer welcome here were the most vocal in our disapproval of letting Winslow go. And we caught a ton of shit for it, because "he can't block; and might as well get value for him now; He's a big mouth;" type of crap. He was our most talented weapon. Winslow and Cribbs are the same player, and same Cleveland Brown. Which is why they were my favorites. The difference is, Cribbs is the type of guy you can bring home to Mom & Dad, and K2 probably was not. Let's hope Little is 1/2 as good as Winslow was and we will see a winning record this year. |

Well said, Leg. I always loved Winslow's fire. Subtract that idiotic motorcycle fiasco and he's one of the best TEs of all time. Remember Ghoolie said his career was toast like three years ago? He was one of the top TEs again last year. |

Flugs- Coaching certificate from a Doritos bag and Madden 2004? That's awesome. LOL. Hey I can't wait to see what Little can do, but I also want to see Cribbs in the WCO as well. Those two could be very dangerous in this offense, unlike what we ran under RAC and Eric. |
