In Athens.. everyone walks for the mostpart.. you don't even need a car...Athens winters are super mild.. It may only snow once or twice a winter and I was able to golf many a winter day there. It's in the foothills of the Appalatians so a bit protected..and far enough south the Cleveland stuff does not apply.. It is VERY rural.. and beautiful. Just north of KY and WV.
