Hey guys... please read.

Well, I haven't been around much, I haven't had internet but thankfully I'm back in the U.S. I'm getting out of the Navy and looking to go to school for writing. I love it, love blogging, love Cleveland Sports... Reading The Browns Board and this site, both, made me want to pursue this. So I applied to Bleacher Report with an article I wrote for a military newspaper and they accepted me (big deal, no money ha). Basically I want to get some good feedback and I know there are many talented writers, bloggers and sports fan on this site.

I'm going to cover all Cleveland Sports for awhile, I'll post them in the applicable forum after this one... just posting it here because I know this is the majority of the traffic here, so here it is... be gentle.

Thanks Dan, happy to have served! Where-abouts in Florida are you? I know a lot of guys on here have moved on to greener pastures down south, I'm planning on a move to Tampa in September!

I'm now in Fort Lauderdale Florida. I joined the Navy when living in Beford Ohio. After I got out, I joined a mobile sales team (traveling around the county like Gypsies), than I settled on Phoenix Arizona. I have family at both places now and I bounce back and forth.

NAVY = Never Again Volunteer Yourself ...lol

I was a "Personnel Specialist" (formerly known as Personnelman) back in my day. "Basket Leave" was my specialty!

Shellback & Blue Nose, 1 West Pac and 1 Med Cruise. Oh and I skipped doing Mess Duty...changed my personnel record (to show I already did it) when I swapped ships to the East coast

Fort Lauderdale SUCKS for being a Browns fan...NO Browns Backers here to view with. Now, the Phoenix Area was GREAT...huge Browns Backer groups.

I think you're in luck though...I've heard the West coast of Florida has a lot of Browns fans.

Nice article Mikey. I'm planning a move to Florida in Sept/Oct as well ....to Punta Gorda. They have a Browns Backer division there and a local bar that shows the games!!

Although if I keep hemorrhaging $$$ like I have been I won't be going anywhere.

Yeah, I'm totally addicted to the low humidity now, and the mountains. When I see flat, it feels... flat. And when I went to Columbus for my daughter's graduation I sweated from the time I landed until the time I left.

Ohio U. has a top notch journalism school. Athens is a great place to be if you love the outdoors.
