Default Browns UDFA signings

As of this morning here are the UDFAs the Browns have signed: some I listed last night but I'll throw them in again.

Carl Gettis - CB - Missouri
Brian smith - LB - Notre Dame
Sidney Tarver - LB - Tenn St.
Troy Weatherhead - QB - Hillsdale
Kyle Anderson - DL - Georgetown College
Chris Mathews - WR - Kentucky
Alex Wuyciak - LB - Maryland

Anybody got any feedback on these guys or any updates to more recently signed guys.

Add Donald Buckram - RB - UTEP. Gained about 1600 yards in 2009 but had a knee injury last year and played sparingly. Thus the reason he is a UDFA. 5'9" about 195 tough physical runner with decent speed and good hands.

Great thread.

Like I said, Smith has a chance to be a Costanzo type right away, and then his ceiling from there is TBD.

Ain't no way Holmgren let's day one go by without a QB, so Weatherhead makes sense. Shep is thus on the launching pad in T-minus 3....2....1....

Ditto. The guy is a beast.

No Dane either. No Noel Devine.

"He looked really good against Grand Valley State in the DII playoffs. His accuracy stood out the most to me. He's got good size too at 6'3" 225. With that said, he isn't going to get drafted. I could definitely see a team inviting him to camp (if there is training camp) though."

That gives them 4 arms in camp and might mean that him and Jarred Brown are fighting for a spot on the practice squad. I still think they go out and get a #3 QB to start the season. Maybe someone like .................gulp........Charlie Frye. Didn't Holmgren bring him in when he was at Seattle.

Isn't Brady Quinn a F/A? I heard he's a good 3rd stringer.

If they trade Orton, which is the hot rumor, Quinn would be the #2 guy behind Tebow. Scary really.........................

But, I think there will be a lot of QB movement by the end of th week. Delhomme might go to New Orleans as a backup and I think Holmgren won't be satisfied going into the season with only McCoy and Wallace.
