Well, that's underwhelming (!). He lost his job to a UDFA in Green Bay. But he does know the offense.

Good receiver. Had 1,000 yards from scrimmage last year. He's okay... but if Hardesty is well, he's basically a bigger, faster Brandon Jackson.

I'll say this: We're strong at RB. Any RT types left out there?

I like him a lot as our 3rd down back..He'll lock that up no problem.. I like that he can also be a starter in a pinch.. It's a good role for him cuz he cannot handle the every down pounding...that's been proven.. but he can make plays.. as a backup and 3rd down guy.. Decent pickup..not amazing but solid.. But we are not building the team with these guys..they are just passing through..ala the 2 year deal.

I guess it's ok. Hillis has the curse hanging over him & Hardesty is a big injury magnet, it pains me to say.

It's like the Browns drafts in general. We talk about what they need... and they take the other thing, usually.

We needed a third down back who can also backup the starters.. that's exactly what we got. Good value for a 2 year contract.

I guess, Sez. But both Hillis and Hardesty are really good receivers and Jackson doesn't seem like he really brings anything different.

Funny, 'cuz the PFT report started with, "Browns fans were probably hoping for WR help, but..."

+1 Heckert

I disagree with any ho-hum reactions to this. Jackson is a very solid sign at a fair deal.

Excellent at picking up the blitz and takes care of the ball.
Tailor made for the WCO. < 40 receptions last year as a part time starter.

He fits in seamlessly as a 3rd down option to spell Hillis/Hardesty.

Brandon know two things: the WCO offense and the RB's responsibility in the WCO.

I suspect we should see a similar WR signing.

Jackson brings a 3rd down back capability, so what are you talkin about?

Hillis and Hardesty are more alike than anything on the roster, so adding Jackson is very understandable.

Quick question: Do you know what Jackson does?

He isn't a Hillis (Ryan Grant) or Hardesty (James Starks) but he is a RB who can teach the WCO, while also being a very good 3rd down back.

All I want is for Hardesty to make shit happen so good that we wonder "WTF happened to Hillis"

Than towards the second half of the game/season we give them a full does of Hillis.

Could be fun!

But yeah not so much does Jackson bring what Hillis and Hardesty contribute. He is different. But then again I guess some writer didn't tell you what to think, so there you go.......

You're telling me that Jackson is the same product as Hillis/Hardesty? Huh? Please dude go back to the Yoga room.
