| We don't want washed up coming in as extremely cheap, to be honest. Clogs up the up and coming chances we have with the young guys. Now if someone gets injured, he needs to make sure his cell phone bill is paid. Meh...maybe. |

I think we will need Sheldon Brown at CB for another season if we don't sign another CB, ESPECIALLY after losing Eric Wright. Hard to say this wasn't easy to see coming. After last seasn, Eric Wright and The Browns were pretty much done. I think Eric wants to play for a team that he knows he's one of 'the' guys and he wasn't getting that sense here in Cleveland. He will start and hopefully play well for the Lions. They're another one of those 'underdog' teams I like to root for. Even though I thought Eric had a bad season last year I was hoping he would've stayed with the team and rebounded from it. Oh well... now we need to replace him. Yes, we need to replace Eric Wright. I don't think Clements is an option, even as a stop gap. Sheldon Brown is our 'veteran CB' we don't need two. I think we need someone like Usama Young, a mid-20's possible starting caliber guy.
__________________ BROWNS 2012: Its Weeden's job to lose, it was the second we took him #22 overall. We had a pretty good draft, and I'd like to start seeing some results. Fans already looking to next year and I don't blame them. I think we will have things to be excited about that we lacked last year and we have some real facepalm moments just like last year. It's going to be tough. We aren't Barking Hard for nothing. WOOF WOOF WOOF! ![]() |

Brown is going to start at corner opposite Haden. Its a lock. Too many people here are rewriting history on Brown's play. He was banged up all year and still performed at an above average level especially considering the completely anemic pass rush. Brown is a solid corner who plays physically and should thrive if we can even improve our pass rush marginally. He's got another year in him at starting corner, you'll see. What you'll see instead is us signing a starting safety and maybe bringing a guy or two to compete for depth at CB. |

I think Brown is likely to start opposite Haden and play well... assuming we have a pass rush. If we don't have a pass rush, our coverage will disappoint. That's how it works. But Grossi says (I know, I know) the Browns were surprised by Wright's departure. They intended to sign him and let him compete for the job, saw him as a more than adequate second corner. So I expect we'll bring someone in. But I agree with Veg: Edwards should be the priority. He was third in the entire league in QB pressure last year, and that's what drives pass defense. He, Sheard, and Benard at the Joker sounds good. |
