That aside, why do you keep bringing up Jones? Who gives a shit dude. He plays for the Falcons, go to their site and talk about Jones. You're instigating this shit again.
I'm not, really. I'm not obsessed or anything. Just saw it on the OBR board and brought it over... then it got a LOT of reaction!

Anyhoo... moving on: Nice to read some good things from practice. Would really like to get Massoquoi back out there. Good to hear about Mitchell and Taylor looking good.

Brandon Braxton sure is gettin' the love.

Why? They are being careful with him as they should. My guess is the thought process is to ween him so he can be a factor the second half of the season.

Let's be honest here. The kid gives myself and others wood, so he will probably never be a significant contributor. Probably not even to the extent that Lawyer Tillman did.

Weird because hasn't it been a year since his injury? I am not worried about him taking it slow and ramping up carefully, but he isn't seeing any action and I am just wondering if something isn't quite right.

Oh I agree everything may not be right. His injury is about 11 months old. It is an ACL and he is a RB bro, plus his history is deeper with injuries than just that one last year.

There is a reason Jackson was brought in, they aren't going to risk losing Hards. Think long term.

Sure, it's early. I still like Little. But right now, today, Jones is playing his ass off and Little is inconsistent... .
Camp is 4-5 days old. Ben Roethlisberger needed a tutor to tie his shoes as a rookie while he commonly showed up to the wrong huddle. His first week was such a disaster, Pittsburgh knee jerked an ENORMOUS contract extension for Tommy Maddox. Well, Maddox got hurt and the rookie QB ended up going 15-1 in the Faneca coined operation: "DON'T LOSE IT ASSHOLE!"

Don't forget I remember ALL of your countless glowing reports about Dennis Northcutt in practices before they put the pads on and started hitting. Like clockwork, the guy who was allegedly a phenom in and out of the cuts couldn't get off the line of scrimmage when the pads were on. And on the rare occasions he DID get off the line of scrimmage - he always seemingly forgot to have his ear plugs in so he dropped everything. He was always too terrified to catch the ball over the middle. You fell in love with the IDEA of Northcutt, which made you the only person he ever burned consistently. The REASON I brought that up was the guy always projected HUGE false positives the first week of practice.

As for Little, he comes here with a physicality that exzcites me as a fan. HOWEVER, I think he's going to require patience that will be worth our while. One set of highlights I saw on Little was a game that featured him taking ALOT of handoffs from QB. I get the impression Little played about 1-2 years of WR tops before missing ALL of last year. Like you, I was one of Julio's biggest fans BEFORE the combine bandwagon picked up passengers. BECAUSE we researched him so extensively - what did we learn? He had a TON of critics questioning his route running and concentration lapses. I said I saw him play about 5 games here in SEC country and he looked much improved from alot of HARD work. Basically, Julio is 1 year ahead of Little in the development process. Aside from that, he is going to have a HOF TE plus Roddy White lining up on the other side of formation. You can't tell me Little has this same matchup perk in Cleveland. If that's not enough, his QB is entering his 4th year with the same coach and playbook. We have a QB that is 8 starts old, who will be asked to deprogram every one of those for a totally new offense. While I'm VERY confident in the offensive choices that have been made here - I'm also very realistic that the perfection won't be instant.

Thanks for the info. I was kinda hoping he was a rookie. But who knows, hopefully he jus figured it out. With Pashos injury history, we need that depth.
