Default Browns trade for Brodrick Bunkley

in exchange for a 5th round pick, per Jeff McLane.

Good move, Bunkley hasn't lived up to his expectations of a 1st round pick but is quality depth and should be a solid rotational player on the line here. He started every game in 08-09 for the Iggles.

Just a 5th? Great trade if that's all we gave up.

Good stuff. Solid player and has proven to be very durable playing at least 15 games in every season.

Nope. Just the news circulating quickly via twitter.

Bunkley is in the final year of his deal, and with the Cullen Jenkins signing, the Iggles no longer had a spot for him. Makes it a fair trade for both sides -- hopefully, DL coach Dwaine Board can get the most out of his first round ability.

Just odd. If you asked me before f/a what positions seemed strong, two of them would've been DT (Rubin and Taylor) and RB (Hillis and Hardesty). So that's where 2 of our 3 signings have happened.

I would've thought we'd announce a CB, DE, LB, or WR today.

At the end of the day, I think Heckert is a smart guy and he'd be able to sit down with me and make me see/understand his vision. I just don't right now.

Same thing with draft Shep, we thought they would draft a LB, or RT early and in the 4th we took FB and TE, which we thought we were good at.

We don't have any idea, it turns out. FS, RB and DT depth moves... I guess they have a plan for DE, CB, LB, RT, RG that hasn't been unveiled yet.

I don"t know if you saw and interview with Holmgren after last years draft.... but he "likes" a big pile of guys at each position...and let the cream rise!

This is solid depth between our two main guys. Who did we have behind Rubin and Taylor? That's right, nobody. If you mention Shaefering, I must ask you how many decent teams would even have that scrub on their roster?

I don't see what could be possibly confusing about this.

Also on the other positions- Patience is your friend.

Well, I guy like Bunkley or Robaire Smith. It's a no brainer and Heckert stays true to his word. He said over and over "If there's a guy out there that can improve our team, we're interested.

Doesn't matter the position, you upgrade the talent on your team when you get the opportunity. I disagree with the others that DT wasn't a position of need. We needed another DT for that rotation and we needed the depth in case of injury.

Great move.

This could be one of those "under the radar" moves like the Watson one. I like it.
