Me too Shep. I would much rather the Browns made a play like that rather than going after a guy like Pachos. I can see why they did but if his injuries continue to prevail that move is going to be a head scracher for sure in the long run.
__________________ BROWNS 2012: Its Weeden's job to lose, it was the second we took him #22 overall. We had a pretty good draft, and I'd like to start seeing some results. Fans already looking to next year and I don't blame them. I think we will have things to be excited about that we lacked last year and we have some real facepalm moments just like last year. It's going to be tough. We aren't Barking Hard for nothing. WOOF WOOF WOOF! ![]() |

Fact is guys that you can't make people sign here. FA means both parties have to agree. I'd like a bunch of those guys also but do they want to play for the Browns. I'm sure Heckert is talking to some of them and I'm sure he has been told thanks, but no thanks more then he wanted to hear.

I feel bad for Tony Grossi. If this were last year, and all these free agents the Browns showed interest in were signing elsewhere, I know exactly where he would point the finger. Tony's actually going to have to come up with a valid explanation if he ever gets around to it. But that would require a minimal amount of effort, wouldn't it? |

| Tony has no problem slinging arrows at the front office no matter who is in charge. He sticks his wet finger in the air to see which way the winds are blowing, than tells the echo chamber what his thoughts are. He is a pain in the ass if you ask me. I have never once read any breaking news or analysis from him that impressed me.

I can only imagine if this were going on with Mangini all the shit we would hear from media. I don't think guys not wanting to come here is near as bad as everyone is thinking. They just weren't going to overpay for these guys to get them to come here. As FA rolls on, things will open up.

I can see what you're saying and in fact i've thought about the same thing quite a bit. I guess maybe I just don't want to think of our situation as SO bad absolutely no free agents want to come here at all. I mean I would think alot of these younger guys not getting many bites would jump at the opportunity to compete for a starting job with even us. Are we really worse than the Bills, Bengals, Raiders and Lions in players eyes at this point? |

The Bears take a flier on potential; defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli had a high grade on Okoye in the 2007 draft. Okoye has shown little since being the No. 10 overall pick, but he has the measurables to succeed. It's a low-risk gamble as he'll try to fit in the rotation behind Anthony Adams, Henry Melton, Stephen Paea, and Matt Toeaina. It spells the line for Marcus Harrison.
