McCoy's final line included 135 yards, a touchdown pass, a rating of 152.1 and completions to six different receivers. He capped a 5-for-5 first series with a 27-yard touchdown pass to Joshua Cribbs, and he connected with Ben Watson for two big plays against the Packers backups on his final series of the evening. When he went to the sideline following Peyton Hillis' short touchdown run, the Browns led 14-7.

"Colt worked us down the field twice," Browns coach Pat Shurmur said. "That's the mark of a quarterback, getting you in the end zone."

may be preseason, but I'm a little relieved to see those numbers from Colt. Makes me have a glimmer of hope

You watch the Colts without Manning... blech. Reinsert Manning... they can win any game.

If McCoy can really commandeer a WCO with serious precision... if he can complete over 65 percent and do better than 2/1... we'll win 9 games minimum with this schedule.

Having said that, we'll be able to run the ball with Hillis behind that line.

Little less certain about the defense. I thought DQJ and Skrine jumped out but we didn't get much pressure and Sheard was totally handled. I thought Benard looked much quicker around the edge, "fat" and all. Schaefering did look quick from the DT position but I didn't see Rubin or Taylor do anything that leapt off the screen.
Someone take that coolaid away from this man.
Show me consistency..game in..game out.... and then I may start believing it.. Preaseason... mmmmm. I am am optimist...but I am not getting sucked in to delusional thiking either...not saying that is what you are doing...but even if we make a stellar leap...we have a long way to go.

I feel you, Sez. Right now, my biggest fear is our pass rush, and therefore our pass defense. We're facing another potentially serious pass offense in Detroit, so let's hope we can get after Stafford a little. We made all the Green Bay QBs look pretty good.

I expected the defense to be behind, so Im not one bit surprised...I'll reserve judgment till it starts for real.
