Yeah, let's take it back there, Dawg. I think Veg and I are all out of feces to fling at each other. I feel dirty now. Eager to see Hardesty. Greg Cosell, one of the most ardent and respected film studiers out there, is really liking what he's seeing from McCoy. Last year he questioned McCoy's arm a lot, so this was nice to read today...

gregcosell Greg Cosell
C. McCoy comfortable + poised thru 2 games. Timing, anticipation, quick processing of information. Very good match of pass concepts and QB.

I wish I actually believed MoMass was going to play so we can get a look at our WR sets the way the are supposed to be.

I have a feeling that it is going to be
1: MoMass
2: Robo
3: Cribbs
4: Little, but he will move up as he gets experience
Slot: Norwood/Cribbs depending on the defense

I think it's gonna be damn tough to keep Little out of the starting lineup. He'll be starting tomorrow night (with Robiskie), so he has a chance to lock it down, I think.

It's big for both guys.

I see a lot of two TE sets with Watson and Moore and two wideouts. This week, with Cribbs and Mo both out, it should be Little and Robo in those sets to start. In 3 WR sets Norwood should be in the slot but Moore will get reps there also.

The injuries make it hard to think what the alignments will be come game one. Mo could be in the slot along with Little. Cribbs will get his time on the field as will Robo and Mo when he is healthy. I think it's a 5 receiver rotation until someone steps up and claims the jobs.

The way it should be. The most productive players play. The guys who run the routes at proper depth and block downfield on running plays will steal more reps and have a better chance to show their skills. Honestly, nice to have options. guys who fit man coverage and guys who better fit zone coverage. Big athletic guys who can jump and little guys who can find a hole in a zone.

We just need to get everyone healthy so the rotations get set and Colt gets his timing down with all the guys.
