I always worry about playing good teams when they come off of embarrassing losses. The Browns are in feel-good mode and they're in oh-shit mode. Last week we were without 4 starters on both sides of the ball. Let's hope that doesn't happen again. The offense HAS to show it can run. The passing game needs that counterbalance to continue to be effective. Did we ever hear anything about Evan Moore? I guess no news is good news.

This is especially a concern because Moore has had concussion problems in the past. The athletic Browns No. 2 tight end caught two touchdown passes against the Lions and has starred in camp. His return timetable is unclear. Aug 20, 12:15 AM Source: Mary Kay Cabot on Twitter Evan Moore - Cleveland Browns - 2011 Player Profile - Rotoworld.com

Cameron didn't do much in the first game against the Pack either. Maybe we will be rolling with 4 TE's if there's injury concerns, wasn't Watson out too?
__________________ BROWNS 2012: Its Weeden's job to lose, it was the second we took him #22 overall. We had a pretty good draft, and I'd like to start seeing some results. Fans already looking to next year and I don't blame them. I think we will have things to be excited about that we lacked last year and we have some real facepalm moments just like last year. It's going to be tough. We aren't Barking Hard for nothing. WOOF WOOF WOOF! ![]() |

Watson and Moore are so incredibly important to McCoy and this offense... need to let them heal. First read on Moore was that it's a "mild" concussion and he felt just "a little lightheaded." I'm hoping that's all it is. This is getting to be a pain in the ass just beneath all the feel good vibes: Because of the variety of injuries, especially to Massoquoi, it's tough to really focus in on the primary lineup. I personally think in an alternate universe you'd have Little, Massoquoi, Moore, and Watson on the field most of the time with Norwood and Cribbs fitting into various packages. I think that's where we'll be eventually. |

Watson was back in practice today as was Cameron. For all the talk about Robo, he and Cribbs again lined up with the #1s. He may lose some playing time when Mo returns and Little develops a bit more but IMO, I don't see him being cut. bottom line is he does need to step up this week and show he deserves t be on the field and that he can make a difference. He has been given a big opportunity this camp and hasn't taken advantage of it. Some like Robo and some do not but instead of throwing the guy under the bus in the media it should and will be decided on the field. I trust Shurmur will put the guys on the field who give this team the best chance to win. Just a short few weeks ago a lot of people here were throwing Cribbs under the bus as not really being a serious receiver. It's decided on the field by smarter guys then us who don't always see the "grass greener on the other side". But, it's fun to discuss. |

With the way this snake bitten franchise is, I would put the starters in for the first quarter of this so called "tune up" game and take them out, and just start the backups for the last game. What good is a tune up game if your best players get hurt and are unable to play anyhow? Just want our starters to be healthy for the season opener.

That's pretty much how I feel about Robo and his situation, Y: Injuries and Little's learning curve gave him a window to show what he could do in this offense... and he's been about as scintillating as ever. I haven't missed a preseason or regular season game since he was drafted... and I just don't see anything but a guy who's really sloggy off the line and easy to cover. Yeah, he can catch... so that qualifies him to play catch, not NFL WR. |
