2011 Edition of Barking Hard Pro Pick 'em League

If you were in the BH Pick 'em League last year AND yahoo had your email saved then I sent you an invite to your email with a link for joining this year's league. If not, follow the link below to join.

The rules are simple:

1) Make your picks at least 5 minutes before the game. A reminder will be sent to your e-mail the day before the first game of the week so you don't forget to pick the winner of that Thursday night game.

2) The spread will be used for picking winners.

3) Picks will continue throughout the playoffs for an added twist.

One added feature I can add this year - but have not added yet - is to have the league drop your worse week of picks towards your overall score. This would be very beneficial to those of us (myself included) who forget to get your picks in before the first games started one week or if for some reason you can't make picks one week. I think this would be fair all the way around and could keep more players involved throughout the season. Last year it seemed we had almost half the league stop making picks after they had a bad week or forgot to get picks in so give me some feedback on if you want it so I can add it to the rules before the first week of the season.

OK, I adjusted the settings so Yahoo will drop your worst week. So far we have 13 players and probably could use about 5-7 more to keep it interesting. They are:

The first week of BH Pick 'em is in the books with 18 total players. The top dog so to speak this week was Vegasdogg who must of had some insider info from the bookies at the casinos as he finished the week with 10 correct. Right behind Vegas was a man who ironically came up big with 9 correct picks - Shortcummings.

The week's worst picker and biggest loser was yours truely with only 4 right. Next week my plan is to pick all the teams I think will lose as the winners to see if I can turn my record around.

You played this last season Jax, you know how this goes - there is no system.

I am going to show my ignorance here with this question: the JAX-TEN game had a 2pt spread, so that was a push because the score was 16-14. Nobody got any points.

But the DEN-OAK game was a 3pt spread, OAK won 23-20, yet there was no push.

I wonder if it matter that the favorite was JAX and the underdog was OAK.

Yeah I live in Vegas and don't know this - how do you think I survive in this place? I don't gamble.
