Let's just trust that this organization will make it happen for Hillis some time during the season. Personally, I'd like it to be closer to the end of the year but I'm okay whenever they get it done to be quite honest. I keep reminding myself we don't have don't have Knee-jerk Savage negotiating the contracts any more so it's not like we're going to be purchasing any more quick sand in alligator alley from here on out. That's the biggest relief of all.

5 mil to 6.5 per year is the range he should be in. Agents are always going to cry for more. That's what they do. If that is what we are offering..then we are offering fair value and should stick to our guns. I am willing to bet that Hillis thinks it is very good money.. but he's is being smart at this point..following his agent and biding his time to see what happens. There is no reason for him to panick or say or do something stupid..It's a long long time until next season when this REALLY needs to get done. I think the Browns want to get all their top guys signed now, as it will help them handle paying 2 first round draft picks next spring. That's why we resigned Thomas and Ruben.. I have heard they want to get D'qell resigned also.. So that makes sense not only from a team standpoint, but also from a cap standpoint going into next years draft... It will help us get those rookies into camp on time (hopefully).

I remember when we got him in the trade for Quinn, that day I went to youtube and looked up his highlights. After watching his speed, size, and football acumen I couldn't believe we got this guy. And then I was wondering why the fuck he was a fullback in Denver when he was clearly better than anything else they had (fucking dumbass McDaniels). I knew right then he was going to make a big splash here in Cleveland, but even he went above and beyond my expectations. I'm all for paying him, but don't break the bank. RB's are awesome weapons, but unless they are Emmitt Smith playing behind Dallas's line of the 90's, they have short shelf lives and you don't want to throw money at a guy who could be working for ESPN in a few years cause his body broke down, and for Hillis this risk is 10 fold just for the simple fact his playing style is just begging for that. He's like Earl Campbell, never shying away from contact. At least so far this year he's learned to keep his fucking feet on the ground. It's fun as shit to watch, but poor strategy. I think he learned that last year during the bills game when he got his bell rung up in the air and coughed up the ball.

| In college he was used as pretty much a blocking fullback for Mcfadden and Jones at Arkansas... Could you imagine the 3 headed monster at tailback they could have had just using Hillis to destroy defenses in the fourth quarter after they were tired from chasing the other two for 3 quarters.
