Should have Lerner kept Mangini and never brought in Holmgren?

so again, an overblown story looking to sell papers.

Perhaps. But that article wasn't just about EM alone (staff happens to report to him). To me it takes shots at the entire offensive coaching staff.

Also internet story, so about selling ads

Mangini is gone. I supported him while he was here. I can't live in the past. Shurmer is the guy right now..so he get's my support until he's no longer the guy. I'm hoping he'll be the guy for a long time and a few rings to show us down the road. Crying about Mangini... wasted effort..he's gone.

Mik, I listened to kiley and booms today for the first time but just for a little bit. My impression was two guys who don't know shit that are more cynical comics than real sports guys. They just sounded dumb, but I will listen some more to form a better opinion. To me, they will take some halfass reporting from the past and make it gospel, kinda like shep. I do like there is another alternative now.

Booms used to be on the DSN radio thing Cleveland.com did. He hated Mangini with a passion, would make up shit, smear the guy and laugh about it. I used to get his blood boiling on the regular by introducing logic he couldn't argue with, so much so the the producers would write me and urge me to call in so he would go off the deep end some more. He's more of a comedian than a sports connoisseur, no doubt, and some of his rants did make me chuckle ...but more often than not, I'm embarrassed for him.

I wasn't claimng those guys to be people who know shit. Like I said in the post you quoted, it was the comments from the beat reporter (not those two guys), which I had not heard before. Thus got me looking to see if there were any past stories or reports similar.
