Nice try, shep, but while you were drowning your sorrows at the Browns game, I was watching the Bears-Falcons and those 73 yards were total garbage time stats.

I could go get the stats but it doesn't matter because JJ did nothing that mattered in that game. Of course, neither did anyone else on the Falcons, but for you to be seemingly defending/touting JJ's first game based on 73 yards is laughable.

The only good thing we can say about JJ last Sunday is this: he was on the field. He didn't have any drops that mattered (that I remember).

So, yes, he looked every bit like a rookie WR in his 1st game. And nothing more.

Fair enough. I won't deny my ignorance (!).

And I won't deny that I wanted Jones, Sheard, and then a 3-tech... but Sheard hasn't looked that great, Taylor's been awesome, and Haden's so good that I mind a little less every day that he was drafted where he was.

Please know that I realize I'm wrong a lot, in spite of all the "guru" jokes I make. But I'm also aware that nobody else here gets much right either, percentage wise. I think that's obviously true of a lot of professional draftnicks and GMs, too.

Example: Kiper and Freeney. And I think Kiper works his ass off, makes it fun, etc. But they miss all the time because sure things are few and far between.

Clausen was my crowning achievement in wrongness. But he was a local, was nice to my son, and I'm incapable of betting or gambling because I never really become truly analytical sans emotion.
