Fine. Let's draft both OLBs and DBs. That works for me.

Looking back at the Colts Jets game. Reggie Wayne was held to 3 catches. Dallas Clark to 4 catches.. and are the top 2 recieving threats on the Colts team.. Manning was able to get it to Garcon and Collie.. vs the Jets to really blow that game out.. Manning is exceptional.. and most teams do not have the depth at reciever that the Colts employ.... Stopping the top 2 recievers agains most teams will usually equate to a victory.. So to say investing in top flight Cornerbacks is not a tremendous value is fallacy...the Jets defense was a HUGE part of getting to the Championship game. The Colts D had something to do with that victory also.

I am not arguing that we don't need more production from our passing game.. but it seems to me that with as many holes as the browns have on BOTH sides of the ball... you don't over reach for QB or WR out of desparation to juice up the offense at the expense of obtaining SUPERIOR talent on the defensive side of the ball.. IMO both Berry and Revis are better overall talent and players than Bradford and Dez Bryant..

The passing game is not new.. Joe Namath became the first to go over 4,000 yards passing in 1968. the didn't get to the big game.. .. but it was not until they made him CAPTAIN..gave him some responsibility that he flourished.. in 1969 his passing and TD and INT numbers were all LOWER..but they won the big enchelada.. The passing game is not the end-all be- all to football.. We are not going to fix every hole on this team in one offseason.. There is no reason we cannot get the speed reciever we need (That's what Mike says we need from his pressers).. in the 2nd or 3rd round.. and no reason we cannot get a qb in round 2-3 to develop behind delhomme and Wallace...Get the superior Defensive players that are available at the top of this draft and fill HUGE areas of need..

I mean.... we cannot get Bradford without giving up multiple other picks; thus leaving MORE holes unfilled..think about it...We may get a qb and still give up 30 points a game on defense and still can only win 4 games.. it does not make sense to do that this year..

We cannot get Bradford and DEZ.. Dez appears to have ruined his #7 pick value over the past few weeks... So we go after BPA..(Berry Hayden) using our draft picks WISELY to fill as many holes as we can.. Ok..I'm going to give you the Mangini now..Building a team is a process.. it's not happening in one offseason
