And therein lies the issue. He was asked to play a hybrid type of position, and it took time to adjust. No NFL team is going to ask their safety to play like a LB. When you watch tape of Berry this past year, he seemed almost too eager to come up in run support, like it was all on him to stop the ball carrier. This led to him taking some poor angles to the ball and poor form on tackling.
However when he's playing his natural Safety position there is none better than him.
So yes, his highlights were slightly disappointing this year, but considering what was asked of him, I still have him as the best prospect (next to Suh) in the draft.
