I fixed some of the backgrounds to make the text more readable. Let me know if you can't read any.
As well I would love to hear your feedback! |
Looked REAL good! Thanks for your work on it and letting us see it.
Can you imagine Indy forking over 90 million $ on a guy who is more popular than Jesus in the Bible belt only to have to go #1 overall on a QB 1 year later? That said, could they have picked a more opportune time to suck for such a talent like Luck?
When we suck, we're debating between Tim Couch (who had dirt and sand for a college playbook) and Akili Smith when we weren't choosing Scotty Milanovich over Kurt Warner and the 47% accuracy of Spergon Wynn over Tom Brady in late rounds.
Everyone ONLY wanted to hang Chris Palmer as if Carmen Policy wasn't the front office guy assassinating hope with every move. Everything our front office has done to our head coaches has put our coaches in check mate to the point of where it wasn't even required from our opponents. And when the front office announces "We're gonna compete right away" it's never a good idea to follow it up with "we didn't hire our first or second choice at Head Coach but we feel confident in Chris." Really? Then why would you make certain we all heard he wasn't #1 or #2? The front office job was to tickle that yes price tag that everyone on the planet has. They didn't compete right away so how could we leapfrog it down to expecting our coaches to? Never understood why we've been so patient with the front offices and hateful to the coaches that WANTED to win. Nobody wants to ruin their career when they get their first chance to be a Head Coach. Anyway, it's nice to see us getting more draft picks and talented young players these days. It should remove the handcuffs and nuisses around the necks of the coaches pretty soon.
BTW, the OC that suddenly woke up smart in Nashville this year is Chris Palmer. Having 2 offensive tackles that have been to Pro Bowls with a SB caliber QB and a RB that has gone over 2000 rushing yards reminds me the Jimmys and Joes are more important than the X's and O's. If it was only about intelligence - would Jimmy Johnson have needed the Herschel Walker trade? Would NE always have to stockpile huge draft volumes? Truth is even SMART coaches don't like playing gridiron chess with just pawns. Isn't that why we always like talking draft here? Deep down, we know we can't handle injuries like 31 other teams can. When we had ZERO drafts in 1996, 1997 and 1998 followed up with cruddy volumes from 1999-2008 - it's not an overnight fix to where all we have to do is hate the head coach or the poor coordinators. This is the first staff that inherits 2 good draft volumes in succession or at least we hope it is.
