He runs hard, that's about the best of it. He doesn't catch the ball out of the backfield well and he's not all that explosive but I think we have seen worse run the ball for this team in the past than Hardesty.

BROWNS 2012: Its Weeden's job to lose, it was the second we took him #22 overall.
We had a pretty good draft, and I'd like to start seeing some results.
Fans already looking to next year and I don't blame them.
I think we will have things to be excited about that we lacked last year and we have some real facepalm moments just like last year.
It's going to be tough.
We aren't Barking Hard for nothing.
WOOF WOOF WOOF!

He filled in when we needed him but I agree he really didn't show us anymore than Hillis. Though our O-line is in shambles so it's possible even a top back would have trouble running the ball here.

CHI's line is a mess and Forte is doing fine.

I am not saying Hardesty has played bad. I think all he showed was he's a decent back up

When you judge a offensive line there is a difference between ones that can pass block and ones that are good at run blocking. Our sieve is in the middle so we don't do either well.

Our young pups need to get stronger and better in a hurry if you want to see this offense improve.

I think it would help if someone could design a play where all of our receivers dont run the same route to the same part of the field every time*. And if Colt could get a little more accurate on those throws, our running game would open up. Pitt's line is a nightmare and they still get good games from Mendenfumbles, et al... I happen to think Colt is just as dangerous as Ben when flushed from the pocket. Except Ben can still throw 60 yards on his knees with 2 DTs hanging on him.

So if we get a little better passing the ball, that will remove the 11 in the box we see every week. And open up some lanes for our boys, and make our rookie guards look twice as good.

*Another member noticed this also, and commented on it first in another thread. Cant remember who, but if you read this, chime in and claim it - it's a good take.
