Default I Love Walter of Walter's Draft

Read and see why. Hell, even I didn't know that 9 of the 12 playoff QBs were drafted at 33 or higher (and then The Three Unicorns: Brady, Warner, and Romo).

He loves Clausen. Says there's no way he gets to 7... and no way the Browns could pass. Thinks Holmgren must be bluffing.

Very true. He does have his fans -- Sobo, Steuber, Walter, Kiper. I think McShay's a detractor, right? What about Mayock?

What matter is if Holmgren is a lover or hater. I can't believe he came out and said what he said without a reason but this is the silly season.

I do believe he has something up his sleeve.

Honestly, I still can't get over it, and he almost repeated it to McMannon. He said "There's a lot of discussion in the room" about Clausen. Meaning they don't agree.

He came right out and said he likes Bradford, McCoy, and Tebow... but keeps holding back on Clausen, who is universally viewed as a WAY better prospect than McCoy or Tebow.

It just feels a little odd to me.

Holmgren coming out about Clausen just invites those who like him to give him a call for #7.

My thoughts Exactly, as I have stated before. That's why we are interviewing Thomas & MH has said we need another 2nd round pick.

He's been advertising using the pickle man.

Yep. Teams won't look to trade up in front of the Browns to get Clausen; they'll trade with the Browns to git er done.

And on that topic, this report from the folks at TFY Draft is particularly noteworthy:

Quote:
As mentioned earlier quarterback Jimmy Clausen was on hand to view the [ND pro day] workout. Clausen was seen hanging around with a contingent of people from the Washington Redskins during most of the pro-day event.

Will the team use their selection at the top of round one? If free agency is any indicator sources do not believe they will. Many have told us the Redskins have been very lukewarm to signing one of the top rated left tackles available in free agency. To many this means the team won’t use an early pick on a quarterback.
via here.

Mayock: I'm not a big Clausen fan.

I still think Clausen has the better overall tools to suceed, compared to Bradford, and I personally don't feel that he is "immature" like people think.

The Rams should be 50/50 on Bradford and Clausen, tbh.

Thanks, Draft Dilly.

So if the Redskins hung out with Clausen and that means they're NOT drafting him?

Holy shit. We openly shunned him. We're drafting Clausen!
