I am in complete agreement there.

When you have a special teams player that plays with no regard to his body whatsoever, well that's a special individual for your team...

Nice thread. I didn't even realize this was the case ...after watching that tragic game against Seattle I was thinking "WTF was Shurmur doing for the past 2 weeks", now I know ...not a whole lot thanks to this new ridiculous rule.

Our special teams are just really depressing. The last regime really loaded up the back of the team with great ST players ...and maybe cut other guys they could develop in lieu of that. I can see both sides, but I'm a big special teams guy, and I really miss ours being solid if not spectacular, especially when you have a weapon like Cribbs. Hope they figure it out soon.

If Castanzo was still with the Browns there is no way of knowing if Ford still takes that KO to the house. Chances are he still does.

No, there's no way of knowing for sure. But there are percentage increases, and i would have to look at those plays again to see how big of an impact he "could" of had...

But then you also need to know which side of the KO coverage team Blake would have been playing vs. which way it went. Along with what KO coverage they were in, where the kick was to go, and tons of other factors. One guy being on KO coverage unit isn't likely to have changed the outcome of that play. The pertage chance of it changing are a fraction of a percent.

If we were talking PR coverage and Cribbs playing gunner I might buy into the notion. But PR coverage is a different animal
