There are very few players worth a damn on the field so you could just let them go on with their lives and careers, I suppose. It would be the right thing to do to just release outright as soon as possible. Let me do a Shep'ian list of who should be paroled first, in order of importance and Browns indentured servitude: Thomas Cribbs DQJ Mack Haden Hillis Fujita Watson Moore Ward The rookies That's about right. Just let them all go and then dissolve the front office. That should do it. Like a nice building implosion, nothing left but a large cloud of dust over Berea. Oh, wait. Sorry. This is what you didn't want me to do? Oops. |

The thing is shot gun isn't going to fix the O. It won't resolve the RT and both G's letting pressure get right through. It won't fix the run game and will actually make teams respect the run even less (if that is possible). It also won't make Little run the right routes or MoMass be able to be on the field.

No, but none of the other stuff we're doing is helping any of that either. And at least the shotgun seems to be more comfortable (and maybe a little safer) for our QB. God forbid if we have to watch Seneca Wallace behind this OL (or that other guy...what's his name???) |

The other stuff they are still continuing to do at least keeps with the training and learning of the O they want to run, in theory. They should be getting something out of it, even if it's only education (I know, we don't want to watch that, but it is what it is). That includes Colt who has to play from under center to have any possible success in the NFL. To me it comes down to what do you actually gain by playing more out of the gun vs. what do you lose out on. From what I see, it looks like a wash at best. |

| You'd really have to be more specific ![]() I have seen it this season several times on 3rd and 3 or 4 to go (which made me want to pull my hair out). I have seen it on 2nd an 8, third and about anything over 7 (maybe that is forever) and a ton in the 2 minute drill regardless of down and distance. I am sooner with you on more screens (at least to try and slow the rush even if for a series) than more gun as the answer. |
