Oh, yeah! He's from California, which is Barbieville. I think people who think and talk in those kinds of generalities are VERY credible. I trust them. They're just good folk.
You and your "types." I would be super careful if I were in your shoes to never call any other human "wrong." Like, ever. You're actively owning it. |
Shep, you gotta admit - you warm up to the pretty California QBs. All the love and adoration you are throwing at Barkley - you're just recycling old Matt Leinart posts and changing the last name. I've been around long enough to read what you thought of David Carr, Kyle Boller, Alex Smith (played high school ball in San Diego), Matt Leinart, Trent Edwards, Jimmy Clausen, etc. If any of those kids grew up in Texas and dare I say had freckles, red hair or or they weren't over 6'1" tall - we would have never heard a positive peep out of you about any of them pre-draft ie: Dalton, Stafford (vrs Sanchez and guess who you preferred), Colt McCoy, Drew Brees, etc. I guess it's good news you are suddenly being open to the kid at A&M; but that hasn't always been the case. Just curious, did he go to high school up in CA somewhere?
Anyway, I like the good QBs from CA such as Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers but you tend to go overboard as if there aren't 49 other states. I even predicted Carson Palmer would be sensational and he was even if for just a brief period before the Steelers owned one of his wheels. And that's where you want to throw the bleach blonde - right in front of the Steelers behind the olays of Lauvao, Pinkston and Hicks. That's got catastrophe written all over it. Dude, Mater Dei High School could kick our ass so the culture shock alone of what's acceptable in this Cleveland football program would put the Barbie Doll in shock to the state of FUBAR. I got a great deal of history looking at 1 QB right after the other leaving this place with the head between the tail escorted by as many boos as our stadium holds. And 2 of them were first round kids seemingly projecting better than the outcome. 1 was pro ready remember? Unfortunately, Cleveland hasn't been pro ready ever since the Lerners have been hand picking front office personnel or the lackthereof in 2009.
I get a kick out of your QB quirks believe it or not. But I have to buffer it when it gets too invasive sometimes. I think it's a riot Andrew Luck has a messed up smile and there's a beard covering up dimples so we can only hear Matt Barkley is doing more with less. You spinning that in another thread was adorable on so many levels. However, transcending Stanford into eliteness is quite a bit different than showing up to what has always been the most talented pro football team in Los Angeles and doing more of the same. Rumor has it, they've always been the best paid pro football team in the state too even when the Rams or Raiders were there. For some reason, you've convinced yourself we have the best line on the planet held back by a bunch of freckles and girly arm from Texas. I wish I could agree it was that simple. Keep in mind, your solution to all our problems was Jimmy C so how much different would it be if we look at Carolina ranking dead last throwing the ball last year with a WR like Steve Smith? The difference is you would actually be blaming Greg Little's suckage, the pass protection, and adhering to the analysis of Dan Fouts as opposed to pretending he has no clue about an NFL passing game.
