It's completely the opposite with McCoy. I think he's a great kid and a competitor doomed with low-end physical skills. I get that it makes him the cute three-legged dog... but he is what he is. And it will never be enough. And I personally don't need to wait for five first-round OL and a bunch of weapons like Orton had to see that with my own two eyes.

And I kind of think everyone else sees it, too.
You would be wrong.

Agreed Thaid. I think the viewpoint of "inconclusive evidence on McCoy" has been sufficient explained here.

I do like Shep's three legged dog analogy though. That was damn funny.

A great QB is going to overcome this kind of situation. McCoy appears destined for an average career, if he makes it that far. He just doesn't do anything outstanding, and he's definitely not able to overcome a bad offense/playcalling/scheme by changing plays. A great player is going to make sure he's successful, no matter what it takes. IF he's being submarined by his OC/HC, he ad-libs out there and makes plays.

Yah, I agree to an extent. But how quickly did Bernie get sent packing when he went rogue? If Colt goes against Murmurs wishes by "ad libbing" you can bet it'll just be another excuse for them to ship him out. After all, how dare anyone go against the great Murmurs offensive genius, he is from the revered Holmgren tree.

Ha. Thanks, man. Fans love an underdog. Charlie Frye was a folk hero with a 72 QBR.

Colt McCoy is NOT Drew Brees. Never was. If you can, watch Brees throwing as a senior at Purdue. It's just not the same at all.

I don't see Hillis or McCoy going anywhere. Hillis is our starter. McCoy is not leaving.. Is he the starter next year? I don't know. He has proven he can certainly be a backup. Starter? Jury is still out.

I don't think this team needs a scapegoat. I expected a crappy team winning maybe 5 games.. I see what I expected.. and 9 games into the season, we have 3 wins. So we are about what I thought we would be. Uglier than I thought..but that happens when you strip down a team every 2 years ..compounded by a lockout.

Sez, we won five games last year. You expected NO IMPROVEMENT after a coaching change (have to assume a BETTER coach or why fire the old one) and another year for our wizards in the FO to work on our roster?

I'd get fired if I went into my boss with a business proposal like that.

Unreal.

By the way, the Browns had the fourth toughest schedule last year based on the final won/loss rankings. This year? Through eight games we've had the 30th most difficult schedule. So, how you'd expect the same number of wins going from one of the toughest to one of the easiest schedules as acceptable is beyond me.

We've been sold a bill of goods so far this year. Our FO is under performing. No if's and's or but's about it.

My larger body of work is pretty epic, though (!). Sorry.
