Well that and I wouldn't say shumur called a "Good" game. It just wasn't as awful as it had been for 8 weeks.

Before the last redzone I would have given him a B- for playcalling in the game. With the last drive it's a D+

Aww Shucks guys Shurmur is swell, it was those dang ole players playing undisciplined and making mistakes normally handled during practice that cost us another game.

I didn't read the whole thread yet, but who could have predicted Sez coming on here with some insane excuse as to why we just lost to a 1 win team? ROTFLMFAO Just epic, classic stuff here.

And yes, I was happy Shurmur finally listened to us and borrowed some plays from Dabs, but he still would have gotten only a "C" against a H O R R I D defense. But hey, it's better than an F.

i wasn't trying to say that he's great, just that he's not as awful as he'd been the past few weeks. he's in the fifty feet of shit that are normally between us and the rest of the league, now, but he still has a ways to go before he becomes a competent NFL coach.

The last Browns series inside the 10 yard line was just insanely stupid. Why not throw on 1st down when Colt is having his best game all year? The 2nd down run call to the blocking TE is just beyond comprehension so I won't go there but then come back and run again on 3rd and long and then WASTE A TIME OUT ON TOP OF EVERTHING ELSE STUPID YOU ALREADY DID? It is no different than us losing the championship on Red Right 88. The coach was stupid calling a pass play when we only needed a fieldgoal to win the game. He should have called a run play. We score a TD we win. We don't.. we kick a fieldgoal and win..But he called a pass... However..it was not the playcall that lost the game.. It was the QB decision to throw the ball into tight coverage and get an INT thus losing the game..He could have easily thrown the ball into the stands.. we kick a fieldgoal and win the game... So it was not the playcall that lost the game..but the players on the field..

On Smiths fumble the coach made a stupid playcall..but the playcall did not cause the fumble..the players did. It was stupid call..

I read the above where the play was to go to Marecic and not to Smith.. Not sure why Smith did not call a timeout.. or tell Colt..and we could have just taked a delay of game if there was no timeout to call. That is on Smith if he knew he was not supposed to be in there on that play. He's a veteran and should know how to handle that situation.

ok time to explain how NFL playcalling works to you.

The coaches send players in for substitions all the time.

The playcall is sent in.

It's not "Line up in two tight ends and hand the ball to smith"

It's a play called that says in more specific terms that I can repeat, that the formation and set up is called and you hand the ball to the up back, who ever that up back is. Smith didn't know the coaches didn't want him running that play. He was sent in, the play was called. he has to assume they want him to run it. and with as slim as we are at RB abd FB it's not a huge leap of thought.

So neither colt or smith have the right to call TO there especially when the coaches are so obviously trying to run out the clock.

once agian this is an example of you going WAY out of your way to blame the PLAYERS for a COACHING mistake.
