I was just coming in here to say the same thing. Prior to that last first and goal from the 9, I was perpared to come in here and semi-praise shurmur for finally opening up the playbook and giving this offense some pep. But then he chickened out and went three straight running plays inclding a stupid hand off to a tight end from the 9? that's a decent play from the 3 or 4, suprise the d and punch it in. But from the 9? awful. Shumur ruined what was otherwise a decent playcalling day with that idiocy at the end.

Lack of execution lost the game, not the play call. It was a crappy call.. I agree. I hated that we were not throwing the ball on 2nd and 3rd down. Handing the ball off to a TE is dumb.. ..but ultimately.. it was about execution. Cribbs fumble is what gave the Rams the lead. Smith's fumble and a bad snap on the field goal. All three simple things that get done hundreds of times.. execution.

Sez, STFU. Please. If you start this lack of execution bullshit on the last drive it just confirms you're a complete dumbass about football. You're flippin' blind if you can't see how the general of the team (i.e., the head coach) didn't screw this thing up. |

To me.. Cribbs lost the game by giving the Rams the go ahead points with his fumble. No excuse for that. Securing the ball is ALWAYS the #1 priority for a kick Returner..not getting 2 more yards. If that did not happen..that last drive would have just been running out the clock.

But No Shumur is too much of a pussy for that. As for you blaming cribbs, You sir are a moron. He HAD THE BALL SECURED. HE HAD IT TUCKED. The defender made a good play. Sometimes Shit happens. Shumur cost us this game. Period.

Even if we make the FG they had all day to drive and kick one themselves. Shurms was worried about running out the clock when there was all day left by running a TE for the first time in his life. Unbelievable, you think he would have learned something after the pitchout on fourth and one to Armond Smith earlier this year.

And again, I thought our offense looked different from the first 8 games for 59 minutes of that game. McCoys arm looked stronger, we must have drafted some WRs during the week that I missed....... wait no, just the playcalling changed. Untill it counted most.
