Just a thought, and simple question. He seems to be on the hot seat. If they fire him, do you guys think he could be headed here? Will Holmgren try to lure him here, and give up on Shurmur after one season? Thoughts?

and have the GREAT Walrus admit he was wrong? not at all. Shumur gets another year. Colt and Hillis are the scapegoats.

And Reid won't get fired in Philly anyway

Yea, I'm not sure if I would want him either. If he can't get it done with that roster he has in Philly, not sure if coming into this mess in Cleveland would be a good idea. (edit) But would you guys say it is a possibility due to the connection between him and the Walrus? I think it is possible. Maybe Shurmur is a stop gap for this season.

Have to admit... I kind of thought the Shurmur hire felt like buying time until Chuckie's ready. I don't have any big pro or con sense of Shurmur yet... except that he's dull.

Andy Reid will be our OC. That's why they didn't hire an OC this year.

Reid coming here? Nah, he wouldn't be happy being an OC that couldn't call his own plays and would feel a little intimidated by Shurmur's wisdom and creative offensive genius!

The good of Andy Reid: He is an estblished legitimate Head Coach, and he is a Holmgen guy. Has been to a Superbowl.

The bad: He has a loaded team and has a losing record.

After taking in the consideration of the bad, I don't think it would work out if he came here.

I'd be stunned if Holmgren fired Shurmur after one year. Not sad, particularly... but stunned.

Reid's #1 problem was that he put everything on Mike Vick playing well till Vick retired. Plus promoting an offensive line coach to DC didn't help.
