I take option #1 every time too. I love Cleveland Browns football too much to stop being a fan.

I'm so close to just opening the flood gates of rage with this team. There will be a blog post, mark my words. Another week like the St. Louis game, and there will be (verbal) blood.

BROWNS 2012: Its Weeden's job to lose, it was the second we took him #22 overall.
We had a pretty good draft, and I'd like to start seeing some results.
Fans already looking to next year and I don't blame them.
I think we will have things to be excited about that we lacked last year and we have some real facepalm moments just like last year.
It's going to be tough.
We aren't Barking Hard for nothing.
WOOF WOOF WOOF!

Sorry, I'm gonna take option #1 every damn time.
Option #1, at least with option #2 there was anticipation of getting a team back and excitement over the possibility of us turning a corner finally with new ownership and a new F.O. Aside from 2007, 2009 and 2010 there has literally been ZERO hope or anticipation of this team doing anything except sucking.

Edit to add: I just wanted to add that maybe we fucked up in fighting to keep the Browns and get the franchise back 3 years later. Maybe we should have instead united and fought to bring the Cleveland Rams back home. At least we'd be talking about our Lombardi a decade ago and looking forward to Sam Bradford helping us to return to glory.

It has been a colossal mess hasn't it?

However, every damn Sunday I turn on that TV and get just as excited as I was to watch Leroy Kelly as a lad. Just like most of us I'm sure, its a cultural fixture in my life (family) and always will be.

Man, I wish I had thought of Facebook. I'd slay to own the team.

I can't see why can't Colt ignore the head coach and go for it and pick a passing play to go for it.
