Btw, it wasn't a drop. Haden got beat put pulled a veteran move on that play by grabbing the receiver's left wrist which prevented him from securing the ball. That was a pass defense. We were more fortunate that Gabbert blew the last throw (behind). That one was there for the picking.

I knew where you were coming from Riff.

And we do need a playmaker at WR. Little looked pretty good today, but I don't see the explosiveness necessary to be a true number 1.

I didn't see a replay on that one, so mad props Haden for saving our asses.
It honestly makes me feel better that we won on effort over lack of competancy on Jax's side.

Honestly I think we did good today. We deserved to win. I told you guys, an offence that could barely score against the Colts isn't going to score against us, 10 points. MJD didn't even get 90 yards rushing, but the TD run was terrible. Our offense is continuing to show glimmers of hope and dare I say it. Shurmur might have shown some actual aggressiveness in his playcalling today. The scoreboard doesn't show it but the victory does. Colt had another efficient game and Colt's QBR is at 79.2 for the season, so close to the fabled 80... I know we've got some tough games ahead but if Colt can keep the ship steady and we can at least keep our heads up on offense, I wouldn't be surprised if he went north of 85 before the end of the season.

Depending how we play against our division rivals, Colt's numbers could decieve you but his play on the field shows more than the numbers do. We need a reciever. I like Greg Little's potential, he may not have that "explosion" that you want to see but once he learns the ropes a bit better and learns what he can and can not do to get the ball, I hope he will improve in that regard. He's got so much athleticism and the raw talent is there. I think he's got way more up-side than MoMass or Robo ever had, especially at this point IMO. MoMass had the decent rookie year but that was spiked by some good games. He's been inconsistent at best since then.

Lets keep it cool for the next week at least. because I think the flood gates have yet to open...

We had a pretty good draft, and I'd like to start seeing some results.
Fans already looking to next year and I don't blame them.
I think we will have things to be excited about that we lacked last year and we have some real facepalm moments just like last year.
It's going to be tough.
We aren't Barking Hard for nothing.

Agree EE. Just finished the rewind and yes, we deserved the win. Not alot of points but some decent drives. Only 3 punts so not as many 3 and outs which gave our D some rest. More people getting involved, more time for Colt in the pocket and he showed more of that ability outside the pocket with some smart runs and that guy is indeed tough. Cribbs? Not a monster game--just a TD, nice kick return and that high octane energy on the field. And I love his futile attempts to sway the refs for spotting the ball on out of bounds punts. One day, J. I am worried about Haden to a degree. Some flags and a dropped int. I'm curious if he had been playing at a high level for more than a year if the refs would be a little kinder with their flags. Maybe they think he hasn't paid his dues yet. He needs to address that but who am I tell tell him to be careful. Love the fire.

Nothing to do back flips for, yet, but it's great to see a better flow from the offense. Too bad the injury bug hit us early or we might have seen the improvement earlier in the season. But I'm glad it's starting now cause we got some heavy duty games coming up.

Great call out.

Also, responding from the INT by going 85 yards in 12 plays for a TD is a pretty good sign.

I get that the general sense here (unlike most boards) is very patriotic toward McCoy, much like another board was to Frye, and I don't want to be the needle to that balloon. There's nothing wrong with hope and squinting until the kid looks great. It's a perfectly valid way to manage fandom.

I'll politely leave you to it. I'd be the buzzkill and I just can't fake it.

Unhuh, and keep trying to tell evreybody how the great Mark Sanchez is lol..Hes about to be dumped...Your just so silly sometimes Shep.

I am very very pleased with the win yesterday. We still have 100000 of miles to go before we are actually good...but yesterday was a start

Cincitucky will be a very difficult test
