I'm frustrated too. He had a whole seasons worth of drops today.

Ummm...I think what Rif meant was that the team wouldn't keep someone who consistently has issues that he believes are not just a learning/rookie issue. Like we did with BE. That IS on the coaching staff. 100% |

My problem is that it's not just they are keeping him, but it still seems Shumur wants to make him the focal point of the offense and the first read most times. Am I wrong? Wtf is with that? Jordan Norwoood catches everything thrown his way and gets better separation. and yet he's trotted in and out for abotu 1/3 of the plays and yet Gregg Little is out there almost every snap. Why? because he's fast and looks great in shorts in practice? Because they keep hoping he'll break those 3 yard passes into 80 yard TD's with YAC? Guess what, he hasn't done it yet.

I am slowly but inexorably going back to my pre-2007 draft days of Browns-fandom, i.e, embarrassed, half-hearted, semi-interest. And the reason is that the utter lack of leadership in this organization is painful. I will say we have some glimmers of hope in Heckert but I have ZERO faith in Shurmur and since apparently Holmgren chose Shurmur, I have ZERO faith in Holmgren by extension. A big-time QB would certainly help my attitude. |
