I'm guessing our squad has been told to STFU (go see BernietheKids new post in the concussion thread).

Seems so Hiway...

Its unfortunate but I can understand the 'neutral' stand. We dont have anyone (I can think of) who would do something on the field to retaliate anyway but you never know, maybe one of those big o-lineman will have a bad day or something next time we play Pitt and I'd like to see Harrison.

Bragging about the hit... I can't even describe how angry he makes me. As a football fan, as a fan of tough football, he is a disgrace. I would cheer for Ray Lewis, a peice of garbage on his own right rather than even think of rooting for James Harrison and I hate both players about equal.

The shit suspension, the follow up with the Browns basically looking like we have for years. Its just so hard to digest what I'm seeing right now.

I'm not saying its as bad as watching the Canucks choke in the Stanley Cup Final last year but it's close to how angry I felt then. I swear to god (to digress) I was joking with co-workers about flying across the country and starting a riot if the Canucks were going to lose starting in the 2nd round of the NHL playoffs. When that riot actually happened I was awe struck (for those of you who don't know, the fans of the Canucks went ape shit after they got bitch slapped in game 7 of the final)

I'm not saying I want to start a riot about the Browns but I feel like the Browns need a riot... metaphorically... I mean I can't see the fans rioting over a regular season game, I hope we wouldnt be THAT ridiculous but in the big game you want to be able to go for that.

The Browns, rowing along, it feels like now forever. I just want us to move in a direction other than neutral or backwards. We've had two aberrant seasons of the bunch and it doesn't really feel like we even deserve those years considering the years follwing them were awful.

I don't mean to bring up those irrelevant events but just those emotions are so similar in regards for the depression and disgust I'm feeling right now for a team.

BROWNS 2012: Its Weeden's job to lose, it was the second we took him #22 overall.
We had a pretty good draft, and I'd like to start seeing some results.
Fans already looking to next year and I don't blame them.
I think we will have things to be excited about that we lacked last year and we have some real facepalm moments just like last year.
It's going to be tough.
We aren't Barking Hard for nothing.
WOOF WOOF WOOF!

1 game suspension isn't enough, but at least it's the most the league has done to try stopping this guy. But as you guys have brought up, it's not just Harrison it is the TEAM. They all play dirty, I mean look at Hines Ward. He is a RECEIVER and other players vote him among one of the dirtiest in the league! I think the league needs to look at punishing the team as a whole as well, because it has gotten ridiculous.

(and lost in the Harrison drama, is one of their other LBs hitting Colt when he was WELL out of bounds...)

You'll lose a lockerroom quicker than quick if your messin with their career.

Look for Wallace to finish out the season and muddle up the evaluation process.

Although the lack of touchdowns and big plays has "evaluation complete" written all over it.

Would the Browns send their future all-star qb out to start 1 last game this year, against the angry Steelers who walloped him into a life threatening concussion?

Have we seen the last of Colt?

Yes. And quite possibly the last of him in a Browns uniform.

If our new front office CARED about tradition and the former Browns that made the current uniforms significant, they would invite Turkey Jones in to speak to the team. My dad took us to our very first Browns game the day Jack Lambert knocked Brian Sipe out of the game when he cheap shotted him way out of bounds. When Turkey Jones noticed the officials were going to permit such nonsense with just 1 yellow flag and no disqualifications - he whipped out appropriate karma IN-BOUNDS I might add.

Anyway, he took Terry Bradshaw and power slammed him into the turf. We're talking double dribble here. The cool thing was he took it a step further and stepped over the injured Bradshaw and scooped the fumble and ran it down the Steeler sidelines as whistles were blowing and flags were flying. Not 1 coward from that black and gold sideline DARED to confront him.

Moral of the story, cheap shots were not going to be tolerated or accepted as "oh well." If Tom Brady took the same hit Colt McCoy did from a dirty thug repeating dirty play - his teammates would have permanently injured Harrison's knee with no questions asked. Meanwhile Robert Kraft and BB wouldn't have accepted a 1 game suspension with the fines the Steeler fans will pay so he doesn't threaten to retire. Last, but not least, let's not forget Harrison was arrested a couple years ago for beating the tar out of his wife. Only Steeler nation would think he's a hero for donating all accesses to the support group his wife is in for battered women. Guess who collected the tax write-off? That leads to 1 year later showing us nothing was learned. Where's Turkey Jones when you need him?
